Dr. Scott T Harrison, MD

I was surprised by some of these re views. I found him reserved and quiet but my personality gets through those types. I found him extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I didn't very rushed and my cataract surgery went great. His follow up is good too. My other eye will be done next.month. I wouldn't go back if I didn't trust him. I think mostly unhappy people leave reviews. I'm very happy.

I would agree with the earlier post by a patient of Dr. Harrison. He was very dismissive of my concerns, in a pre operative consultation. I have severe stage 4 ROP. When I asked Dr. Harrison about the risk of another detachment he actually minimized the seriousness of potential blindness in my case. When I further explained my concerns, he offered little conform for having the procedure done. This was cataract removal and lense implant. I was so upset. that I cancelled the surgery and recommended another specialist see me for a consultation. My thoughts, are Dr. Harrison is not empathetic nor does he show any emotionally connection with his patients. It's very disturbing since I've worked in health care for over 40 yesrs. He also did not have an assistant in the room during the consultation, which again shows the magnitude of his professional competency. While he has the credentials he lacks bedside manner. Dr Harrison spent less than 15 minutes with me not providing a diagnosis or… prognosis.

IDr.Harrison cancelled the surgery at my request and deferred to as scheduled for surgery and meet Dr.Harrison through the Cigna Medical group. Dr.Harrison was very common and casual offering little no support in the outcomes of my surgery. I have retinappathy stage 4 AND A previous detached retina. After reading a review by a patient, with similar concerns about. Dr. Harrison. They described him as rude,and was clear my assessment probably uncaring or aloof is better. . I've worked in health care for 40 years and never a specialist who unable to give a complete diagnosis and prognosis tob the patient he provided care.

Dr. Harrison was extremely rude. He gave the impression that I was wasting his time. He was condescending and treated me poorly. He berated me and accused me of neglecting my health and eyes. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor. The worse patient-doctor experience I have ever had. I cannot say if his diagnosis was accurate and therefore cannot comment on his abilities as a doctor. On a positive note, his staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
