why is he making the people who come for help do unless surgeries. telling them if you dont i will drop you. does medicde know this.

I WENT TO SEE THIS PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR TO HELP ME WITH MY CHRONIC PAIN. THE PAIN DOCTOR I HAD BEEN SEEING FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS WAS NO LONGER IN PRACTICE. AT FIRST HE SEEMED TO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT MY PAIN, THEN AS SOON AS I TOLD HIM THE TRUTH ABOUT HAVING TO GO TO A METHADONE CLINIC BECAUSE IT WAS TAKING SO LONG TO FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR, HE BEGIN TELLING ME THAT BECAUSE I HAD NOT HAD NUMEROUS SURGERIES AND SINCE HE CLAIMS TO HAVE ARTHRITIS, LIKE ME, HE TOLD ME I DID NOT NEED PAIN MEDICATION AT ALL BECAUSE I SHOULD NOT BE IN ANY PAIN. (GOD-LIKE COMPLEX AT IT'S BEST) I HAVE NEVER HAD A DOCTOR TELL ME HOW MUCH PAIN I SHOULD HAVE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I AM 59 YEARS OLD. HE ACCUSED ME OF BEING A DRUG ADDICT AND TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO STOP TAKING METHADONE PERIOD. I COULD HAVE LIED TO HIM AND TOLD HIM THAT I HAD SAVED SOME OF THE METHADONE THAT I HAD BEEN PRESCRIBED BY MY OTHER DOCTOR AND THAT WAS WHY IT WAS IN MY SYSTEM. HOWEVER, I WAS TRYING TO BE HONEST AND THIS IS THE TREATMENT I… RECEIVED. HE IS EXTREMELY AFRAID OF THE DEA AND GOVERNMENT. PLUS, HE HAS LESS THAN 0 COMPASSION FOR SOMEONE IN PAIN. NO HUMAN BEING IS THE SAME AND THERE IS NO WAY HE CAN TRUTHFULLY KNOW HOW MUCH PAIN I AM IN JUST BY LOOKING AT A FEW RECORDS!!! FURTHERMORE, HE DIDN'T EVEN LET ME TELL HIM ABOUT MY PAIN. HE WAS TOO BUSY TALKING ABOUT KNOWING EVERYTHING TO LISTEN TO ME. i AM SORRY, BUT, CONCERNING AN INDIVIDUAL'S PAIN, IS NOT ALWAYS BLACK AND WHITE. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. HE BASICALLY TOLD ME THAT A PERSON WOULD HAVE TO HAVE CANCER TO BE IN AS MUCH PAIN AS I CLAIMED TO BE IN AND TAKING THAT MUCH PAIN MEDICATION. I HAPPEN TO KNOW SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY HAS CANCER AND EXPERIENCES NO PAIN AT ALL. IT TOTALLY DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF CANCER AND THE INDIVIDUAL THEMSELVES. MY PAIN IS REAL AND SEVERE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISRESPECTED AND TALKED DOWN TO IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. THIS MAN WAS EXTREMELY ARROGANT AND TREATED ME SO DISRESPECTFUL, I LEFT HIS OFFICE IN TEARS. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TREAT ANYONE WITH CHRONIC PAIN EVER! ACUTE PAIN, MAYBE, BUT, NOT CHRONIC PAIN. HE IS FAR TOO JUDGEMENTAL OF SOMEONE WHO IS TAKING OPIOIDS, JUST AS SO MANY OTHER DOCTOR'S ARE. HE THINKS THAT ANYONE WHO TAKES THEM IS AN ADDICT. HE ACTUALLY TOLD ME THAT SURGERY COULD ELIMINATE MY ARTHRITIS. I HAVE NEVER HEARD THAT REMARK BEFORE FROM A DOCTOR. ARTHRITIS IS A PROGRESSIVE CHRONIC DISEASE THAT CANNOT BE CURED. LOOK IT UP. ALL HE DID WAS TELL ME ONE LIE AFTER ANOTHER. FURTHERMORE, I AM NOT WRITING THIS BAD REVIEW BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE MEDICATION I HAD BEEN TAKING, IT IS BECAUSE OF HIS LIES AND DISRESPECTFULLNESS, AS WELL AS, HIS GOD-LIKE COMPLEX AND TO SAVE OTHER CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS FROM HIS HUMILIATION AND GOD-LIKE COMPLEX. I have an intrathecal pump and no one around here manages them. These people were very helpful and actually got me so I only need to be filled every three months. The last guy had me coming in every month.

Wasn't too excited to go to a pain doctor since all I thought they did was give you pills but there is other things they can do. He gave me a plan for my back pain and seemed optimistic that we can get rid of it.

My experience with Dr. Haufe and his staff from day one has been nothing but refreshing and professional! Dr. Haufe is a great listener and his experience in his field is vast, often times thinking outside of the box with medication suggestions and procedures to ensure his patients have the best quality of life possible. Like he said to me today. Not pain management but pain resolution

This office and "Doctor" are completely lacking. First, they called my husband and home number to verify some information rather than calling me. My number was right in front of them. My first AND ONLY VISIT wnet like this....put in a room. Doctor walks in not introducing himself. First thing out of his mouth is that I do not have the issue I was diagnosed with. WHAT? He said too many people do not know how to diagnose. I attempted to explain that i had a TEAM of 5 Doctors at UCLA diagnose me. He poo pooed them. I had a knee replacement 2 weeks prior to my appointment and he then told me I should be healed by now. Truly he has no concept of time. He than wanted to check my reflexes AND HIT THE KNEE I HAD JUST HAD SURGERY ON! Tears running down my face were met with a "I forgot, sorry". He actually broke open my newly healing scar and put back my progress over 2 weeks. I had horrible, painful scar tissue from his stupidity. What ever happened to "do no harm" STAY AWAY.

Dr Haufe is truly concerned as to how we feel and how he can help, he is not just pushing medicine, and take the time to explain his actions. Could not find a better Dr. in all of Northwest Florida.

very good first meeting with him. I was concerned about going to pain management because i don't want drugs and that is what i thought they did. he gave me a lot of other options for my problems and i have been getting better since a month ago when i first met him. good doctor

I saw three other pain docs about my burning leg pain and everyone just thought I was crazy since my scans were normal. he spent an hour explaining what he thought and he told me more in one visit than I got with the other three people. very impressed so far
