Dr. Scott Efraim Hirsch, MD

Excellent physician I have met the doctor twice. He is very attentive, patient, pleasant and perceptive. He encourages questions and does not like over-medicating. His manners are impeccable. Thank you Vishnu Prakash -

his credentials mean nothing. does not care. just wants to put you on a meds, bill you and get you out of his site.

A small-minded clinician who treats patients as hopeless and helpless - victims to be shelved away without any additional therapy or structure. His demonstrably false and unprofessional assessments are his hallmark as he squirrels away the Medicare payments of the elderly. Psychiatry is littered with people like him - base, rigid and black and white. Stay away if you want diligence and a doctor who upholds the Hippocratic oath.

If I could give him zero stars, I would. Dr. Hirsch is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen in my life. You may think a doctor in this field would have empathy, but it’s almost as if he looks down at people who have medical/mental illnesses. Hirsch has this superior attitude (inflated ego) towards his patients and his view on women is regarded as beneath men in society. He has made several comments (whether he’s conscious of his misogyny or not) that indicate his mentality is of a man who is living in the 1920’s. If it were up to him, I feel he would rather the women’s suffrage movement have not happened. Just being in his presence for a few minutes, I can tell he is unhappy and miserable in his own life and projects that on to other people’s lives. If I wasn’t depressed before, I am after being in his presence! Hirsch clearly is not capable of portion control and self restraint , how is he going to help me get me get in control of my life ? Not worth your time, nor your… insurances money !!!

I didn't have the opportunity to get to fully know him that that much.. as he was just following up with me while my dr was away. But for almost that 1 yr that he followed up with me I can say that he's a great dr. Very professional, caring and considerate. I followed up with him during my 9 months of pregnancy and knew very very well what meds to put me on. Thanks to his knowledge I now have a 3 yr old boy that's healthy. If my dr.was ever to go away for a long time (God for bit) I would want dr.Hirsch to follow up with me again,he is kind,polite and caring :)

I couldnt ask for a kinder more intelligent and experienced Dr to treat my TBI and PTSD. He is an expert his intelligence is hungry a constant study he has residencies in nuero and psch. And he actually is a kind carint human being a teddy bear of a guy and a respectful gentleman. Thankful beyond words to have his care

He can be friendly but lacks warmth and a sense of compassion. I don't feel like he really listens, it's like he had an idea, makes up his mind, and that's it. He doesn't seem to want to do any research on cases that don't fit a mold. Unfortunately that seems to be pretty common.

Yes I would tell other people to go to Doctor Scott Efrim Hirsch he very fair his bed side matter is very patient gentlemen not nasty to his patience I rate Doctor Scott Efrim Hirsch a 5 star rating

I find Dr Hirsch very professional. He was able to control my mother's condition by stripping away all medications and starting from the ground level. No other doctor was able to do that. I found him to be very caring.

I've been under Dr. Hirsch's care for six (6) years. I have bipolar disorder. Today I am doing wellâ??I am working, I am loving, I am not fighting, I am not angry, I am not crying every day... Dr. Hirsch works with me when making decisions on medication. And when I talk he listens. He sugarcoats nothing when telling me what I need to do moving forward. He's direct. For patients who have mental illness and often can't trust their own thoughts, his approach is invaluable.
