Dr. Scott Robert Hochgraf, MD

First impression, he tells me I do not know how to use a thermometer like most people, 2nd quote"you should see your MENTAL health doctor about chest pain/anxiety" (he could have said primary care physician) 3rd, He never gave me enough time to answer his questions.I have been exhausted for 3 weeks now with upper respiratory problems .I went to see him because just can not keep up nor get better, having chest pains every time I cough difficult to speak quickly.

My Mother was referred to Dr. Hochgraf because the CMC said he specialized in Geriatric patients. I went with my Mother to her first appointment with him and he hardly ever addressed her directly. He spent no time listening to her, cutting her short almost every time she tried to speak. He sat so far away from her, that even a person with perfect hearing would have had a difficult time hearing him. We were forced to go back to him a few more times because of the difficulty in finding another MD in Manchester that was accepting new patients in a timely manner. I truly believe that his lack of a full examination and his inefficacy in listening to his patients led to the untimely death of my Mother due an overlooked heart condition. My Mother insisted that she did not feel well and wanted an electrocardiogram on several occasions. He refused every time until the last visit when the symptoms were so obvious he did one and then I was instructed to take her straight to the ER at the CMC. I… am heartened to read that he is no longer with the Webster Group, but dismayed to see he is at Urgent Care. He does not listen to his patients at all. Considering his excellent education, one would expect at least an MD that can communicate and can listen. One of his other listed strengths is patient information; I saw absolutely so competency in this discipline at all either. I would avoid this doctor even in Urgent Care unless the the only thing you need is a vaccination.

Dr Hochgraf should be a shrink and not a Dr. He listened just fine and confirm the pain my husband was experiencing and then did nothing to help until I voiced my opinion. My husband has seen him one other time and, again, the Dr confirmed that he had TMJ and then sent him to a physical therapist. Huh? Treatment for TMJ is medication for pain or anxiety or muscle relaxers. My husband is not a complaimer and he's seen this man twice and both times left in the same pain and with more frustration. Awful!

Find that if he does not think he can help he will refer you to anther doctor and not give you a hard time.
