Dr. Hockenberry was the trauma surgeon the evening my brother came to Grant Hospital. AMAZING! Without Scott Hockenberry my brother would not be alive. Anyone can say what they want about his arrogance, rudeness etc. This disposition is interpreted as Dr. Hockenberry having these attributes but they are really self-confindence, knowledge base, and EXPERIENCE. I would not even consider another General Surgeon.

arrogant non caring and bad results I will never go back to him Would not recommend to anyone I cant believe anyone has a good thing to say. He is rude and unprofessional botched up my surgery and never apologized

Dr. Hockenberry performed a Whipple procedure on me early last year for pancreatic cancer and had it not been for his knowledge and expertise, I have no doubt I would not be around today. His caring both before and after the surgery and his willingness to explain the procedure in minute detail and what to expect was more than I could've ever hoped for. I would not only go to Dr. Hockenberry for any other surgical procedure I needed done but I would also recommend him to anyone needing any procedure done. He's the best.

Dr.Hockenberry was excellent when i was his patient, i never had better treatment from any other doctor in columbus, ohio. He fixed my problem, and i've never felt better in my whole adult life. This is a doctor who really cares.
