Dr. Scott Louis Itzkowitz, DO

One of the best GI drs I’ve ever had. He cares about his patients and will find a solution to help get his patients in remission. He’s one of the few that took my condition seriously and helped educate me on the seriousness of it. I have no clue where he’s located now; but I am forever grateful to have had him these the years I have.

Staff, both administrative and medical, were great. Dr. Itzkowitz was lacking in bedside manner. While he responds fairly quickly to communication through the portal, his responses are brief, rather informative, and bordering on dismissive. Three diagnoses that didn’t require treatment, per se, at this time, and one potential diagnosis for which he did not recommend testing and wanted to prescribe an expensive antibiotic that has terrible patient reports.

This Dr has absolutely no bedside manners at all. Does not listen to patient ! Very ruff with patients ! Worst Dr we have ever seen in 73 years ! I’m sure my husband would of lived longer if he had paid any attention to his illness and pain.

He was my GI for years. I highly recommend!

Great Doctor Kind Caring and Knowledgeable

Dr. Itzkowitz and staff were professional and pleasant during my procedure. Everything was explained very well to put me at ease. Based on my experience, I would recommend Dr. Itzkowitz.

Dr. Itzkowitz was unbelievably professional and cared for me as if I was his only patient! I loved his respectful manner. I would 100% recommend this doctor if you are in the Wilmington/Brunswick County area!

Was treated by Dr. Itzkowitz which involved throat surgery and about 6 weeks later I found a swollen lymph node in my neck under my ear which was hard and could not be moved. I called and reported my situation and got a return phone call telling me to see my family doctor which prescribed antibiotics which did nothing to help. I went to see another ENT anf found out I had Throat cancer. If there is anything below a 1 that would be my rating for this doctor.

Former patient at Naval Hospital. Worst bedside manner of any doctor I've encountered.

He is now practicing in Supply NC. I felt no empathy. Came across as terse.
