Dr. Scott Allen Kahney, MD

Kahney has a one track mind-- get jabbed. Would Not discuss my diabetes and high blood pressure; literally had no reply to that except he is concerned I'm not protected by the jab. Only wanted to know why I've refused that "protection". Then, forgot to order follow-up tests. But most importantly, as he said 20 times: get jabbed.

Unfortunate my experience with Dr. Kahney was extremely poor. He is abrupt and rude. I question his knowledge or maybe he just doesn't like being bothered. My family has been going to Village Medical for years. He reflects poorly on the practice who has a lot of knowledgeable and caring doctors and nurse practitioners. Pick anyone else but stay clear of him if you want good medical care.

Dr Kahney is belligerent and cold. I went to see him hoping for answers as to why my stomach was so large. You would think a doctor would ask obvious questions like; how much water do you drink? What did you eat yesterday? No, not Dr Kahney. He probed, poked and ordered blood test a ultrasound. He came way too close to calling me an alcoholic and suggested it was either liver disease or ovarian cancer. I don’t drink. Never have. Follow up visit scheduled to tell me what I already knew ... test came back clear. And to be told that everyone carries fat in different areas. I scheduled another visit because I really wanted to know what is going on and how to treat it. More probing and more blood test. Nothing. These 3 visits cost nearly $2000. For nothing. Changed doctors and had a CT scan done to rule out all obvious problems. The scan confirmed I have an umbilical hernia. Really? You mean that bulge in my belly button? The one I showed the Dr? I have since increased my water intake and… track my diet. That was it. So much wasted time and money. Because of “the affordable care act”, I cannot afford the surgery. The end. Do your research. Demand what you need from your doctor.

Went to Village Medical Center for a long time. Doctor seems unhappy with life every time seen, very quick, condescending, lecturing. Physical wasn't complete neither were blood tests. Finally had enough and couldn't be happier when I switched to a doctor that took the time, listened and properly communicated.

I have seen DR. Kahney 3 times and every time he was not pleasant and was condescending. I had lost 34 pounds and was attempting to get off all medications and he kept pushing more medications. I have decided after walking out this last time it would be for the last time. He did not care about my health he just wanted prescribe more medications and give me a flu shot. He did not have my best interest.

Fed up and changing doctors now. Every doctor at Village Medical Center is the same. Never want to follow up with additional testing when labs are abnormal and never want to following up when change to family history (cancer) warrants it. At the same time, always eager to write Big Pharm prescriptions. Always talks (preaches) rarely asks questions and when he does barely pays attention to my answer. I'm sure this doctor and everyone at this practice get GREAT ratings from the insurance companies and drug companies they really work for. I'm done

Very rude and condescending! Was offended that I didn't want the flu shot...no, he was MAD that I didn't want it! Told me that I WOULD get the flu and that if I was around a baby that it could DIE because of me!!! Or, if I visited a nursing home that the whole west wing might get sick because of me! Was more interested in me being 20ish pounds overweight than listening to me! Then presented me with some info and just looked at me...I responded 'you're the doctor'! So unsatisfied!!!

Talks and listens to you. spends more than a minute with the patient.

He is rude and quick to push you onto someone else. He spends little time listening to the patient and more time talking.

Poor follow up. I gave him some medical record test that he requested. To this date no phone call...nothing.Front Staff - Absolutely no manner. I was there standing waiting....look at me and walk away!
