I did hours of research to find the best hernia surgeon in Michigan and resoundingly Dr. Scott Laker won the internet. So we chose him to do both of my husband’s hernia surgeries and we could not recommend him enough! We drove from across the state to see Dr. Laker and we would do it 1000x over again, he’s worth it. Very knowledgeable, compassionate, respectful an excellent surgeon! When comparing stories to other guys’ similar hernia surgeries, my husband’s recovery has been significantly better!

Dr laker is nice but He performed robotic surgery on me For a hernia and U have had rib pain and pain in the original hernia area ever since. I also felt like I was hit in eye during surgery which made no sense to me until I read about people having chronic pain after robotic surgery. Another patient not of Dr Laker had eye pain also. Dr Laker fixed my hernia when three other surgeons couldnt. I was most impressed by his humble nature. I have never been treated so nice by a surgeon. I didnt think they could be nice. Dr Laker proved me wrong.

Today, it will be a week since my inguinal hernia repair and I feel great! I am well on my way to returning to an active lifestyle. Dr. Laker is an incredible professional who actually cares for all aspects of his patients...really. With no insurance, the surgery was completely self pay. Dr Laker is a God-send for people like me whose other option is to pay thousands more at a hospital.
