Dr. Scott Lucas is without a doubt the most knowledgeable, caring and kindest physician I have ever encountered. He is an excellent diagnostician. He takes a conservative approach and is not "knife happy" nor quick to order excessive tests. He took the time necessary for me and my husband to understand exactly what was the best medical treatment and I am happy to say that 5 years later my husband is doing great! I highly recommend this incredible physician.

On our first visit to Dr. Lucus he told my husband that if he did not have this surgery he would be dead in a year and that it would be instant. I feel Dr. Lucus did a surgery on my husband that was to risky in the first place his medical records were evident of that. He had a massive stroke in surgery and continued for over 8 hours, I don't even remember the Dr. saying I am sorry, I watched my husband convulse for over 8 hours until his brain was burnt up. I still have nightmares of the whole ordeal.

Dr. Lucas appears to be technically capable but unable to see the larger picture in my mother's case. He performed two surgeries on her within 2 weeks. The first was successful but she died on the table on the second due to complications with her lungs. He was never disclosed to us the full truth about the operation. We had to piece it together from what the nurses were saying. You absolutely need a second and third opinion when dealing with Dr. Lucas. He cannot be trusted to give you the full information or consider anything beyond the nuts and bolts of the surgery itself. He was unable to predict the complication that arose and then he failed to share the full facts with us.
