Big plus is that Dr. Massios is the only ophthalmologist in Oconee County who performs surgery locally. Dr. Massios operates at Blue Ridge Surgery Center in Seneca. Therefore the patient doesn't have to travel a long distance for cataract surgery and can be home much sooner. Dr. Massios military background is evident in a tightly run office. Wait times are very short, the friendly staff is knowledgeable and precise in manner. Dr. Massios is easy to talk with, unhurried and very efficient. After my cataract surgery two other family members became patients and are very happy with the services provided.

One of Dr. Massios' specialties is macular degeneration which in my family is a familial disorder. He stays on top of preventing this condition in my eyes. I am very pleased with his care, and I respect his knowledge and skills.
