Dr. Scott Douglas Mueller, MD

Along with many other reviewers, I also left this practice for one reason; Shanga. It was unfortunate as he was great physician with good bedside manner & takes his time with you. I couldn't deal with the nasty attitude & calling for a two week past due prescription to be filled. I left several messages on the prescription refill voicemail stating the urgency after the 48 hr requested time period had passed. When that got me nowhere, I resorted to bypassing the voicemail to speak to them.I guess my frequent calls irritated her, as when it was finally filled (at the wrong pharmacy), I had zero refills when I always had received 2 months of refills prior to this. Had to show me she had the upper hand. That's fine, lost a patient (clearly multiple patients) and patients = money. Those who don't understand the poor reviews are more than likely males. She treats female patients this way in hopes they will leave & a lot do. She must view women as a threat as she is married to Dr. Mueller.… She is destroying his name as a good physician. It's pathetic and completely unprofessional.

Dr. Mueller is the kindest doctor that I have ever been to.

Dr. Muler as a person is a good man. But not a doctor who followed his vols he made when he became a doctor or is not a doctor for the rite reasons. 14 years ago me and my boyfriend came to him with a oxy addiction and he continued to prescribed them to us. He wpukd also put are appointments together and when we would want more he would give us more. To a extent knowing now my x not having any medical problems or MRI or X Ray to back up his reason for prescribing them. I have arthritis but when starting to see him was in my early 20s. He should have recognized especially that he even told us he was trained in additions that it woukd not be the best for me or my boyfriend at the time. Also when my family intervened and went to appointments with me with my consent because i didnt want to need a pill to live he uped my prescription and told me it woukd not be in my best intrest to get off of them i would feel my arthritis again.and would not wein or help me get off of them or help with… diffrent options. Yes i took the pill at my free will but i took them as prescribed. Not knowing how powerful the drug was or what could happen if stopped cold turky. And yes we got a couple off the streets before going to him he was Prity much are drug dealer for the oxy that we could get cheaper because are insurance would pay for it with him prescribing them to us. Dr. Muler knew he would have us addicted in no time. He also stated during a visit he gets kick backs from the company everytime he prescribed someone to oxys. But to make a story shorther 14 years later. I am clean for over 10 years but not so lucky for my old boyfriend who is now a walking zombie and social path from the addiction and Dr. Muller is still prescribing him the oxys and more as of today. Now my boyfriend who i grew up with and was my best friend even before the oxys and he is the father of my daughter who my daughter is having to take the neglect from him from the symptoms of taking oxys and ext. And Dr. Muller a trained and educated doctor who you should trust cant even identify a addiction or help someone before there life gets swept away or death from his prescribing opioid and drugs you should not prescribed for over 6 weeks. Now he has a life time patient 14 years and still going from my now x.

I have been seeing Dr. Mueller since I was 19, I am now 43. My kids whom are 16, and 11 have seen him since they where born, and my husband has seen Dr. Mueller for 21 years.. I don't think I need to say anymore, but thank you!

The office staff has always treated me like I was infringing on their time. I always have felt disrespected. I wait for at least 30 mins at any appointment and then I am rushed out in such a hurry. However, Dr. Mueller is kind, attentive and knowledgeable. He is the only reason I keep coming back to the office. Why he allows this behavior from his staff, I don't understand. I just try to keep reminding myself what a good doctor he is and that the office staff may be overworked. (Poor excuse considering I am a nurse and never allowed to show an "overworked" attitude).

I can't say enough good things about this Wonderful doctor and his very professional staff ..! I would recommend this doctor to anyone . I have been treated with respect from day one from this very caring doctors office ! Dr Mueller is friendly,caring,helpful and a true professional Doctor who works with his patients to make them well and get them back on the road to recovery...I can't thank him enough for his very professional bedside manner ! His staff is busy ,very busy ,but still finds time to be caring and very helpful with all my problems and has never failed to treat me with anything but respect !..You couldn't find a more professional staff at any doctors office anywhere ! I wish I would have found This doctor and his wonderful staff sooner...If you're looking for a great place to call your Doctors,This is the place..I would recommend him and his staff to anyone...Thank you Dr Mueller and staff for caring about your patients...

I was switching from another physician to Dr Mueller and when switching there is always a little apprehension involved. Let me say this, from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I walked out I was so impressed and made to feel relieved and totally comfortable with everything from everyone. I just happened to read some other reviews when I decide to write one of my own and I'm so confused as to where some people are getting their negative experience from. Shenga was a doll to me, even when I had to reschedule to a sooner appointment. When there she and the other staff there were wonderful. I can't stress that enough. I honestly think I could not have found a better physician and medical staff anywhere. Ive chosen to switch to his practice exclusively now, and all due to the people who made me feel like I was welcomed and my needs were heard and meet. Wonderful practice all together. For those of you who had something different to say I guess it all boils down to who you… are. If you are uncooperative and not nice what do you think other people are going to treat you like, and that's something we all learn as adults. Anyway, if you're in the area and need a doctor I would say you just found the one you'll want to see.

I had Dr.Mueller for over 11 years, and really thought he was a good Dr. In fact I contribute him , for the reason my husband is alive today. Never had a problem from him or any of his staff, Until he hired this person named Shenga. She is disgusting , rude and obnoxious. I was waiting for her, to be fired, so I could go back to Dr. Mueller, but she is still there. He must not realize, how many patients, he has lost because of her.

I don't understand the negative remarks! Dr, Mueller and his staff are wonderful! Not only do they take care of you medically...they also take care of you emotionally. Sure Doctor's get behind and you might have to wait a bit after your appointment time...you don't know what the patient before you is going through..if it was you that he had to spend extra time with..you wouldn't complain about other folks waiting beyond their appointment time. As for the comments about Shanga shame on you! She has never been rude to us...she has gone out of her way several times for us..if you want a cold hearted numbers Doctor perhaps Dr. Mueller isn't for you...me..I like having a Doctor with a staff that I can share everything and anything with. He's not a numbers Doctor,,get them in and get them out. He cares about his patients.

This doctor is bad news.....and patients should proceed w/ caution.As to how he can still practice.. I feel that the State of PA and US Federal government are guilty of neglect.
