Dr. Norton was fantastic! He very thoughtfully listened to everything I had to say and made sure to explain his diagnosis and the treatment so I could understand. I felt heard and well taken care of.

I went to see Dr. Nortin years ago. I was excited about given an appointment with a doctor that is very knowledgeable about skin diseases and parasites. The visit was unbelievable. I had small lesions on my feet, legs and back. I left the appointment broken and in disbelief due to his area of expertise. The second visit a resident said that I had a foot fungus and the other lesions were self inflicted. No need for a biopsy. Since I hadn't been out of the country there was no need further treatment. But a biopsy could be taken of my back. Mind you I had things that looked like moles but the lesions were due to my scratching. I went back for the results and the biopsy showed nothing but it was suggested that I take a psychiatric medicine because my symptoms were all due to a mental problem. Unbelievable. I have been seeing a psychiatrist for seven years and he said that my skin condition was definitely not not a mental condition. Four years later I have lesions from my scalp to my… feet.The bottom line is that that you don't have to go out of the country to suffer from certain things. Dr. Norton teaches and practices dermatology. Unbelievable...

Dr Norton spends ample time explaining your condition and the treatments available. He is pleasant and highly professional. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Scott Norton failed to listen to me during my visit with him. After I told him that I do not scratch or pick my face, and that I wash gently, he insisted that my facial lesions are a result of me touching my face. Instead of telling me that he does not know what the problem is, he told me that I need to see a psychologist and that I be given medication in order that I stop touching my face. I have clogged pores, and small grainy white stuff underneath the skin is visible. They can be scratched off, and after I told him that I shaved and of course this will scratch the protrusion, he told me that I pushed too hard. I showed him pictures of other lesions, and told him that I never touched them, yet he told me that I caused them by scratching. He is a terrible doctor.

Dr. Norton was quickly able to diagnose my condition - which is saying a lot since 3 other dermatologist could not figure out after multiple visits.Very good on explaining what's happenning and taking a personal interest in following up.

I saw Dr. Norton at his new private practice location in Chevy Chase (barlow bldg). He spent a great deal of time with me and answered all my questions. Staff was great.
