Dr. Scott Daniel Richard, MD

In the past when I had providers of any specialty, I was asked if I was ok with them being in the room during my appointment . With him , it was unexpectedly different. He just straight up brought them (unsure if they were assistant , nurse or student but it makes no difference) because I didn't give permission for this. what I was mentioning was private. I didn't know if I could refuse after they were already in the room either. It was very invasive for me as someone who was already traumatized by other doctors before . He also seemed to dismiss my concerns as "hypochondriac" in his report. I felt very disrespectful.

I honestly thought I could trust him because he seemed very compassionate and I thought I was fully understood. Because of my intersex condition making me have multiple diseases that has to do with females, I needed surgeries to remove the problem. For some reason I don't fully know, he didn't completely do what I needed during the surgery, so I made follow up appointments to get the additional procedure but that's when I learned that he wrote incorrect diagnosis and labeled me as "she" and "transgender" when I wasn't all this time. This caused way more problems with others and so I needed the medical records corrected. I thought talking to him for many times, I made myself clear but instead, he apparently didn't understand. He had no right to do this after I trusted him. It's such a shame how once seemingly nice and comforting person can just ignorantly say he is "accurate" when in reality, he's the inaccurate one. FYI, I am biologically male (my chromosomes are even xy). If I knew… that he's been writing that about me, I wouldn't have went back because I feel so disgusted. Other doctors also made remarks and diagnosis based on the inaccurate words he wrote. The level of medical care when a person isn't born properly like me but still needed the care that was offered by the department is the worst

made me feel uncomfortable by assuming I was like his other patients. Very ignorant to do. mentioned pregnancy related things to someone who is against that lifestyle. Im even disgusted of the so called transmen who get like that. so triggering

Misdiagnosed me and didn't take the condition I had as a fact. All I can tell.is , it's easier to use a cookie cutter method and lump everyone in a certain category when it didn't fit me. I thought he was open monded because my PCP referred me to him , but I can't say such a thing after what I found the misinformation he wrote about me. He didn't even bother to fix his mistakes. Now I can't return to the hospital because other ignorant doctors will just go by what he wrote. I feel betrayed .

Very dismissive and has limited knowledge about some uncommon variations within the human body. I didn't approve or appreciate him doing this. There needs to be clear understanding with the patient and there was none of that with him.

I really felt at ease during my consult but during the examination, I felt extremely uncomfortable with the assistants (students?) present prior to my surgery. The two blonde girls were literally laughing behind my back and talking about me. I didn't ask for additional people besides him to be in the room. I wish I never went in for it.

Dr. Richard is a great doctor, listens well, doesn't rush, and explains to my understanding. I can't recommend him hogh enough.

Dr. Richard was wonderful and very caring . Went above and beyond his medical obligations . Simply a Great human being .

Had hysterectomy due to tumor being found. He never even gave me results or follow up after leaving Jefferson. Dr Richard is arrogant and will be expecting a negligence lawsuit filed against him by year end. Shame on you

Dr Richard is fantastic. My consultation was direct and honest, my surgery was scheduled quickly and it went without any complications. All of my follow-up care was attentive and made me feel safe. If you have a gynecological cancer, I would highly recommend seeing Dr Richard. He saved my life…I am 5 years cancer-free and I owe so much of that to Dr Richard.
