He earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and is a member of many leading dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association and the Union County Dental Society.
He is also a Practioner Investigator with the Pearl Research Network at the NYU School of Dental Medicine and has been elected by the membership to serve on its Executive Committee. He is proud to be a co-author of one of the PEARL Network's recent studies, and presented the preliminary findings at the International Association of Dental Researchers convention. Dr. Schaffer is also a Dental Product Evaluator with Ascend Publishing.
