Scott W. Sinner, MD, FACP, was born in Williamsport, PA. After graduating magna cum laude from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA with a degree in Biology, he earned his medical degree at the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at MCP-Hahnemann University, and then spent an additional year there as Chief Medical Resident. He then completed his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the same institution, now known as Drexel University College of Medicine.

Dr. Sinner was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, the American Society for Microbiology, the Infectious Disease Society of New Jersey, the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine and the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. He is on staff at Somerset Medical Center, the University Medical Center at Princeton, Saint Peter's University Hospital, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Dr. Sinner is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he received the volunteer faculty teaching award in 2006. For his efforts in continuing medical education, the American Medical Association has awarded him the Physician's Recognition Award with Commendation, effective from 2007-2013.

He has published articles on the management of bacterial and tuberculous meningitis, and has performed research on the diagnosis and management of pacemaker infections. He also authored a chapter on streptococci in the 7th edition of Mandell, Douglas and Bennett's Principles and Practice of Infectious Diseases.

He was board certified in Internal Medicine in 2001, and in Infectious Diseases in 2004. Dr. Sinner joined ID Care in 2004, and was co-Medical Director of the Center for Wound Healing at the University Medical Center at Princeton from 2009-2011.
