Going to my first appointment I was in pain. Pain free after Dr. Strum's treatments.

I went to see him because of his great reviews, but my experience with him was anything but great - it was downright awful! He got mad at me because I refused to see a Fellow for my shot. When he gave me the injection, it was one of the worst pain experiences I ever had - and do you know what he said to me?? He said, "I bet now you wished I hadn't given you the shot"! If you want to take a gamble, go see him, is all I can say. Also, Cynthia from his office failed to follow up on some important FMLA paperwork which caused problems with my husband's job. Way to go Loma Linda!!

Dr. Strom is an awesome doctor. He took the time and patience to care for my back. He helped me to understand the procedure. Add made me feel very comfortable. I was afraid to have injections done. But he talked to me and he walked me right through it. It made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Strom did an awesome job. I would recommend him to anyone. He cares and he takes the time with his patients. He has a big heart.

Dr. Strum's care and expertise have been vital to my ongoing care and improvement of chronic pain issues. He is consistently upbeat and attentive. He and his staff have established a teamwork atmosphere which is encouraging and challenges me to do my part for continued success. I am grateful to be in his care.

I originally chose Dr. Strum because of his association with Loma Linda Medical Center and requested a specific referral to see him. I could not have made a better decision. I have been seeing Dr. Strum for over a year now for chronic nerve pain following lower back surgery in 2015. My trust and confidence in Dr. Strum could not be greater. He cares about me and how I feel and always puts my best interest ahead of all else. I was recently forced to change my insurance provider. Dr. Strum is an amazing Surgeon and pain management Doctor! From the 1st day of referral to him for pain management I am truly blessed and thankful. Dr. Strum is knowledgeable, informative kind and caring. Taking time to listen to my pain concerns and managing them! I cannot tell you how great that feels to have a Doctor that cares! I am a candidate for the Nevro HF10 pain stimulator, I suffer from chronic back, hip and nerve pain, which has been going on for several years. Dr. Strum not only has guided me through the process, he performed the procedure, which I am truly grateful for, I was able to have the surgery with confidence because he is so caring and informative. Although the implant has just been performed I feel positive of the outcome. Dr. Strum is my pain management doctor. I was referred to him by my primary care doctor and I’m grateful for that because I have a chronic pain condition. I have a brain injury and he is so understanding and listens to everything I tell him. Whether it’s about my physical health conditions, or my emotional health, he listens to me and answers my questions without hesitation. He even referred me to a neuropsychologist and helped me get an appointment with him when I was having trouble doing it on my own. He asks me appropriate questions when I tell him about one thing or another and that goes a long way with me and my brain injury. I appreciate his help with everything I have asked and I would recommend Dr. Strum to someone I know who may need his expertise. He went out of his way in helping me get my referral to the neuropsychologist and I appreciate that kind of dedication to his patients.

How lucky am I to have crossed paths with such a genuine human being? He truly cares about me and for me. He has helped me in so many ways and I am grateful!

Dr. Strum had been my pain Doctor for years now and I will never change him for anyone because he is very caring and always make sure that I am doing good with my Pain. I feel like I am his one of his family member when he is talking to me. I just feel comfortable being one of his patient.

I am also a physician. I've worked with Dr. Strum on a professional level in the past and have had many patients of my own see Dr. Strum for pain management. Our consensus is the same: he is arrogant and rubs many patients the wrong way from a "holier than thou" personality. I have heard him discuss pain patients as "crazy," "whiny," and "nuts," which is shocking to hear, even if not in front of patients. This is how he speaks of the very patients he is supposed to be sympathetic towards. He is knowledgable, but insincere. This is not the physician for you if you want a genuine doctor who works with you, rather than assuming he knows what is best for you before you even walk in the door. Loma Linda has many other more empathetic physicians who do not have this doctor's sizable ego, presumptuousness, and arrogance.
