Wait time was less than 10 minutes. Dr Van Amen was very friendly and professional. He explained the damage to the right Achilles tendon and repair so understood how the surgical procedure would go and recovery time I would be involved with in a way I understood very easily.Plus, his assistant went out of her way to schedule and make arrangements for the surgery. Truly, a very easy experience!

Excellent bedside manner and takes plenty of time to explain test results and surgical procedures without leaving out and detail. Very down to earth and has such a kind, caring personality. Very prompt appt times and I’ve never had to wait because he is on time! His office staff are helpful and very organized and kind. The doctor is always available and returns any calls . I’m So grateful for his knowledge and skills as I’ve utilized his services over a 6 year span. Highly recommend !

Dr. Vanaman did surgery on my achilles tendon 12 years ago. I went to see him and he told me my achilles tendon ruptured. He did surgery 2 weeks ago and my 1st check-up went well. I would choose Dr. Scott Vanaman and Orthopedic One.

Dr. Van Aman placed an inter medullary nail in my tibia in 2017. I have never had such a miserable experience in my life. I went back to him at least five times complaining of pain and swelling in my leg and my concerns were dismissed each and every time. As it turned out, I had several blood clots in my leg from being in a gigantic cast for two weeks and that is what was causing the pain and swelling. Additionally, I have constant, daily pain in my knee where the nail was inserted. I still, to this day, cannot kneel on that knee for more than a few seconds without excruciating pain. I did tell him about this several times in 2017 but that concern was also dismissed. With all of that aside, the worst experience was having to deal with his nurses. They were rude, nasty and unempathetic throughout the entire process. They should definitely not be in a position of authority over anyone that is suffering. If you are wondering why I am leaving a review now, almost three years later, it is… because I was just outside planting some shrubs and am now in excruciating pain because I had the be on my knees. I would highly recommend that you explore all of your options before choosing Dr. Van Aman as your surgeon."

If I could give the real score I wanted to I would; would be less than one. His manner towards me as a patient was horrible; told me I was at maximum medical improvement. After getting a second opinion had a second surgery on the Achilles. After the current orthopedic came to tell me why I was in such discomfort due to the Achilles was hanging and nothing was attached; this doctor is fortunate I did not put a malpractice suit against him and make him responsible for messing my Achilles surgery.
