Dr. Scott Louis Wilhoite, MD

Dr. Wilhoite is an excellent gastroenterologist who listens to and communicates well with the patient concerning diagnosis, treatment and results.

Dr. Wilhoite has performed both a colonoscopy and endoscopy and explained the outcomes of succinctly. I noticed one of the rated poor comments regarded his bedside manner. Dr. Wilhoite is to the point, doesn't sugar coat and doesn't blow sunshine. When I walk out of his office I know, for a fact, what he has explained to me and am able to answer questions asked by my family. My kind of Doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone that appreciates a doctor telling you how it is and what you need to do!

I have been with Dr. Wilhoit several years. I trust him and appreciate the time he spends with me to explain my problems.

He is always very considerate and will go the extra mile to do the best for his patient. My son and I both see him. Even the nurses at the hospital all rave about him and that says something as they see everything!

I will NOT go to any other Gastroenterologist. I absolutely love my Doctor. Although he can be a pain in the butt! lol. The staff are great too! They love to get on the fun of things sometimes. Butt, I'm afraid when I wake up; what really happened down there. No pun intended!

Dr. Wilhoite was condescending to me and quite rude. He cut me off when I spoke and laughed at my questions. He didn't seem confident in his treatment. He literally said to me, "Well, your GP sent you here for a reason, so we can do a HIDA scan I guess. I don't know what else to do for you." He scheduled an endoscopy (NOT a HIDA scan) for me and never even mentioned an endoscopy to me at all. The practice is snooty. They give you pagers, as if you're waiting for a table at a crowded restaraunt, when you check in, and they take 1 to 2 weeks to call you back about scheduling appointments. When they finally do call back, the first available appointments are two months away. I asked once to switch doctors and the scheduling secretary harassed me for asking.
