Dr. Seamus Jude Walsh, DO

I have been a patient of My Family Practice for almost 20 years now. Dr. Walsh is a fantastic doctor that is down to earth, cares about his patients, is honest, thoughtful and takes time to figure out what each patient needs. I would HIGHLY recomend him.

Dr. Walsh is a great doctor, he will listen and answer all your questions and will ask about the family and ask about what going on with you , in regards outside the office . Makes it nice to see a doctor that loves what he does and cares for making you feel better.

Great physician, takes his time to listen to you and is not afraid to say he doesn't know and recommend a specialist. Problem is that he is heavily insulated by the office staff who make the decisions regarding if/when you can see the Dr. or speak with his assistant. If you have a pressing matter and they say the Dr. is booked they won't even ask the Dr. if they should "fit" you in. You cannot speak to his assistant or him on the phone, the office has turned into "assembly line medicine", get as many patients in and out as you can. It is a shame, the practice used to be just like the old time "Marcus Welby" type of family doctor, but no longer.

My family has been with Dr. Walsh for 7 or 8 years now, and he's seen us through a variety of mild-to-moderate, common Family Practice type things. If there's something (a procedure) he's not willing to perform, he's honest about it and refers out, but for the vast majority of our needs, he's attentive, doesn't rush, familiarizes himself with past history on an ongoing issue. He's also often able to see a patient within 24 hours of contacting the office. All in all, he's exactly what you'd hope to have from your FP physician: invested in your care and responsive to your needs.
