Dr. Sean Thomas Burke, MD

I would recommend Dr. Sean Burke. He was the doctor who found I had been misdiagnosed and having severe reactions from medication given for the misdiagnosed condition. I liked the way he talked to me and gave me more confidence assured me that I would be ok. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Burke.

Have been a patient of Dr. Rafique for around three years. Decided to get another opinion from Dr.Burke who is in the same practice because Dr. Rafique didn’t seem to pay much attention to what was going on. He would send me wrong medications in all the time and my seizures were still not under control. Upon first appt Dr. Burkes bedside manner was terrible. He didn’t speak much and seemed annoyed when I was asking him stuff. He was upset that I didn’t have records with me although I did give the office all the information to get it from the previous practice I was at and they had not done their job to get the information. Move forward he decided to do an EEG. I scheduled and appt with him to review the results. As soon as he walks in he sits and goes about typing and doesn’t really speak to me. He then asked if someone had called me or emailed me about my results. I told him no. That’s the purpose of the appt. He tells me” it's normal, anything else I can do for you” I told him yes !… What does that mean?! I mean I have had seizures uncontrolled for several years with previous abnormal eeg studies. He states that I may still have seizures just that the eeg didn’t capture it during the time of the eeg. I asked what I should do about my medication? Should I switch increase decrease or stop since my seizures still happen frequently. He said I don’t know! He said you have had this condition for almost 20 years before coming here what do you want me to do. I have no records on you. He was so rude. He refused to do anything for me. Told me I don’t know who referred you to me but go back to Dr.Rafique got up and walked out of the room. I was so shocked I left crying. I have no clue what to do for my seizures now. I have to find another neurologist because this guy was the biggest jerk. If he wasn’t going to help me figure out what was wrong he shouldn’t have even seen me twice and done an eeg. This place sucks. I have never been treated so badly. I wish I could sue someone for treatment this bad. It’s not fair to be in such a vulnerable situation and someone completely blow you off with a serious health condition.

Lucky i found him i was in pain for 2 months without answers from multiply doctors. He took the time and did research that no one else offered or did. My situation is complicated and he never backed down. Thanks so much for giving me my life back is what i say to him.

Seen him twice. He actually listens to me, recalls what I said, and manages my condition accordingly. Like someone who actually cares, personally. I am staying with him for my MG.

Dr Burke spent a lot of time with me and listened to what I had to say. He was very compassionate. I will continue as his patient for MS
