Dr. Sean Patrick Cooney

Dr. Cooney is unprofessional and will tell you that you need additional work that you don't need just to charge you more! He told me I needed additional X-Rays so my insurance would cover a scaling procedure. Whenever my insurance wouldn't cover it, Dr. Cooney asked me to come back for more X-Rays to file an appeal with insurance. Munich insurance denied the additional X-rays and I had to pay over $1,200 for the procedure out of pocket. Avoid Dr. Cooney at all costs!!

HORRIBLE Customer Service. In order to take your X-Rays from this office, you have to pay $15.00 and wait 48 hours in order for them to "process" the request and they will mail them to you. They cannot email to another dentist office and you can't come in to pick up unless you wait the 48 hours. The majority of dentist offices do NOT charge for this service and can email out within a couple hours. I was told by the oh so friendly Joan that "this shouldn't be a surprise to you as it's in the small print when you sign the new patient paperwork." Really??? When I told my new dentist office that I had to cancel my appointment and wait for snail mail in order to bring my X-Ray's in with me, their only reply was "Wow." I knew there was a reason why I wanted a second opinion (gut feeling plus the fact that they wanted to charge me $2,000+ for my procedure) and this confirmed it loud and clear. I wouldn't go back to this office if this was the last dentist on the planet.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I made a appointment to have my sons teeth cleaned 2 weeks ago. Today we arrived for the appointment and they refused to see him as they said he missed a appoint over a year ago witch I do not recall. Completely unprofessional and rude and will be sending them a bill for my wasted time. Stay away from this guy....

I took my son here, and when I called to get another apt to get his tooth pulled they told me they have to save it. I asked 2 questions got rude responses! I explained my situation and she told me( I don't need to here ur life story) hung up!! Really so I called back for an apology, hung up on again! I was called back after going there with my 4 yr old son to get an apology, and I was threatened!!! No people skills or respectability whatsoever!

Only been going to dr cooney for about a month first couple visits was very nice a relaxing the people was polite and caring.... I have a lot of work that need to been redone from a prior dentist fillings that came out and broke my teeth needed redone and a couple root canals and one tooth that just had to go.. I was set up for a root canal two weeks ago they told me was an emergency I had to get it done before the weekend so I had to take off work for this....the day of my appt I was running behind for but had called them asking if it was ok if not we could reschedule no biggy they said it was fine so I get there 15mins late as I'm pulling in the parking lot they call telling me they can't do it now... It caught me of guard, they was the ones that told me it was an emergency and needed done asap, I had taken off work for this appt which for me is not easy with my work, I'm a single mother I have dental insurance but that only covers ex-rays office visits and cleanings I've already… paid 1500 for work to b done not including this root canal .... So anyway I just go ahead and go to the office to reschedule, I told them I wasn't going to take off work again it had to be on my day off which was the days later and I had originally had an appt for then of course they couldn't do it then which made no since it being an emergency that was able to move me up three days but then couldn't put me back to my original appt so we made it for the following week .. I get here 10mins early come in and they take me straight back which I told them between that time of appts the tooth that needed pulled went completely bad I hadn't sleep n a week can't eat drink throwing up from had bad it was hurting and the whole side of my face head throbbing stabbing all the way down to my collarbone and Advil just won't do anything to help ...so Erin said she will ask cooney about pulling it today and hold off on the root canal since this other tooth has became top priority she come back and says he won't do it and keeps bring up how they have cleared a two hour window twice to have this root canal done I told her i didn't know what to do because this other tooth I didn't want to sit for two hours letting air and water hit that other tooth while they did the other work she was being very rude and very unsympathetic I was beyond shocked and upset that they refused to pull the tooth and told me to go to a surgeon I told her I was getting really upset and she tries going off on me about the situation again about how they twice had to clear a spot an twice haven't been able to do the root canal and how they are upset with me ..there is no word for how they made me feel ..... I will NEVER go back or recommend them! And I had 540.00 I've already paid them that they owe me back minus the 50 for canceling they said they would reimburse me. Please do yourself a favor never go here they are fake two face shady people if they haven't betrayed you yet give it time and they will

So Today I had 5 Teeth removed, my 4 wisdom teeth and one other tooth. OMG I was so scared and nervous. Dr cooney Took his time 3 hours, and every single timei felt any discomfort he numbed me up more,I love going to this dentist. I would drive 50 or more miles to come See Him, luckily I live 2 miles away. Great dentist.

Dr. Cooney was our dentist for 3 years. I even referred him to several other families. Withing the last two years though, billing was a nightmare, incorrect or over charges, threats, poor service. Office staff (billing/receptionist) rude and disrespectful. His office staff told my family and the other families that I referred him too to find another dentist. Training in customer service would surely benefit this dental office if he wants to succeed. Had to give a rating to post review

Not reliable in providing follow up care for any problems. Seems to be very concerned about law suits. We went to him for several years and then got a letter from his office saying he would no longer treat our family, he left us without a dentist and for no good reason ( we had insurance and always paid our bills). Very disappointed with him.

He is not a great people person. He was rude more often than not. Scheduling was a nightmare. Go somewhere else!

This office refused to send a bill or invoice prior to sending a collections notice. The only written correspondence ever sent to me was a letter threatening collections. I don't trust him or his office staff, and I do not recommend him at all.
