Summary
Sean Coughlin, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1992 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Westminster College in 1988. Dr. Coughlin has been practicing for over 30 years and has a particular interest in fitting specialty contact lenses. As a child, he spent a lot of time with eye doctors due to his own vision issues. This experience intrigued him and inspired him to pursue a career in optometry. Dr. Coughlin finds great satisfaction in helping people with severely damaged corneas see again with scleral lenses. Outside of work, Dr. Coughlin was a 14-time All-American swimmer in college and loves any chance he gets to be in the water. He enjoys competing in triathlons, having completed the Augusta Half Iron Man and the Vineman Half Iron Man. He is also a diehard volleyball dad for his two youngest daughters and treasures spending time with his wife and three daughters.
