Dr. Sean Aaron Deitch, MD

I had a HORRIBLE experience in the ER when he misdiagnosed my DISLOCATED SHOULDER. He didn't even take a look at it when I was in the ER bed and ordered images. After leaving me in there in excruciating pain for over 2 hours where NO ONE CHECKED ON ME till I got out of the bed and opened the door begging for help. Then when two employees brought in the x-ray device, it sounded like a training session. After waiting again for a long time in excruciating pain, an employee came in to tell me that Dr D said I only have a contusion and am being released. I begged them to get me a phone and I called a friend who picked me up and took me down the road to UCSD ER where I was immediately whisked in for images and told that my shoulder is DISLOCATED! The doctor was very kind and said they would put me under and put my shoulder back in place. When I came to I saw the doctor and he was like an angel to me. Of course when I filed a complaint the hospital denied any wrongdoing. Do not go… to any medical facilities where Dr Deitch works!

I was seen by Dr. Deitch for 10 minutes in the ER after a neck injury. The neurosurgeon ordered an MRI but Dr. Deitch proceeded with a strong recommendation for a surgery without even seeing my MRI results. Ultimately, I refused the surgery which turned out to be the right option for me. On top of that, he billed $1555 for 10 minutes of his time spent with me and his recommendation. Many red flags here!

I am writing this review after Dr. Deitch took care in the ED. He did an excellent job diagnosing and treating my condition. Thank you.

Dr. Deitch treated my elderly aunt yesterday in the ER. He diagnosed her condition when her primary doctor, Bruce Covner, whom she has been seeing for years, did not. I am grateful that Dr. Deitch was the attending physician in the ER.

I went in with a cut foot and as someone who is terrified of needles, Dr. Deitch helped calm my nerves with comedy and reassurance of his ability while he administered stitches. While I don't hope to be in the ER anytime soon if I needed to go again I would be very pleased to be in the care of Dr. Deitch and his team.

Ive been in Nusing since 1974 I went in for surgery & went into afib ...I had been hospitalized 2 times to be converted into NSR .MY NURSE FRIEND TOOK ME TO THE ER after I deteriorated at home & We both thought I'd die if I didnt go return to the Hospital! DR came & stood by the DOORWAY introducing Himself while I was having a EKG done ...I was wheeled in SOB with a heart rate of 120 at rest .He said labs would be done & He'd back with the results i. A hour or so. He then came back & stood 5 feet away & proceeded to say My labs were normal & He was sending Me home .I told Him I was not leaving I was going to go home to DIE ! HE THEN ARROGANTLY SLAMMED THE DOOR SHUT & LEFT THE ROOM !!! HE NEVER EVER ASKED ME 1 ? AND NEVER EVEN CAME WITHIN 5 FEET OF MY BODY HE NEVER EVEN DID A EXAM !!! MY GOAL AFTER BEING IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK IS TO SEE THAT THIS INCOMPETENT DOCTOR WILL LOOSE HIS LICENSING .....DON'T LET HIM TREAT YOU AND MOST OF LET YOUR BODY BE YOUR GUIDE… ....THE ABSOLUTE WORST DOCTOR I'VE EVER SEEN !!!!!

Going to the ER is never fun; I've only been to the Scripps ER 3 times and twice, I've seen Dr. Deitch and have been extremely satisfied with his calm demeanor. He is efficient, takes a thorough history, and addresses the health issue that I had. Hopefully never have to return to the ER but if I do, I'd be confident if my care was under the guidance of Dr. Deitch

My mother was seen at Scripps two weeks ago and was in the hospital for two weeks. It was determined that she would need surgery in her abdomen but because of her history of Lupus she decided to go home and think about her next step (leaving against medical advice). in the week since she has been out her blood pressure was extremely high (around 170/34 or higher).Today, she decided it was time to go back. Once seen, Dr Deitch did admit that she looked sick and had a high blood pressure but would not see her because she had left against hospital advice and was therefore showing drug seeking behavior. If she was drug seeking, wouldn’t she stay where she could get free drugs?! You really sent her home while she exhibited all of these symptoms? We will not be coming back to Scripps. Thanks for being an A hole to a sick woman.

My mother was brought in by ambulance after suffering a seizure. I was asked to describe what happened. He interrupted me and quickly concluded syncope. I tried to continue speaking and her aggressively insisted she fainted. I requested neuro work up and a CT scan. He ignored my requests. I saw that the nurses were intimidated by him and in private they told me to requests the tests through her PCP and make a complaint if needed. The tests were administered by her professional competent Dr at Scripps Green. She is currently being treated for heart problems and neurological issues. The Doctors at Scripps Green listen and treat her with professional dignity. I wish Deitch would actually learn from this feedback and take responsibility in adjusting his behavior.

Add my name to the list of people that can sue this Dr for malpractice. 3.4 on potassium is not normal, anything below 3.5 is in the PANIC level. I came in unable to eat or drink and 6 hours later I'd still had no food. My emergency was needing food and this foolish man in scrubs couldn't accomplish finding food in a hospital. Your the one that's Bizarre, & I write reviews and file reports all day long.
