Dr. Dort is one of the finest general surgeon's in the country. He performed an open surgical sigmoidoscopy on me which resected my colon and reattached .The operation took 1 hour 15 minutes. I had very little post operation pain and The incision is barely noticeable. Dr Dort is a God Send and treats his patients with respect and best of care. As it turned out had the best pathology report which showed Stage 1 cancer with all 14 lymph nodes negative and clear of cancer. I owe Dr Dort with saving my life and I am eternally grateful for his skills and competence. Thank You Dr Dort

Complete and total idiot. Messes up on surgery and then doesn't even notice it. He then has the nerve tipi blame others for his mistake. Be a man and own up to your mistakes!

I had a scheduled date to have my gallbladder removed and due to complications, I ended up in the emergency room and needed to have the procedure done right away. Dr. Dort managed to get my gallbladder out with a laparoscopic procedure even though it became very difficult because of inflamation of the gallbladder and pancreas. He could have opted to abort the laparoscopic procedure and do a regular procedure which is a bigger cut and makes for a much longer recuperation period... He chose to continue a difficult laparoscopic procedure and successfully removed my gallbladder. When I thanked him for his efforts and for not opting for the easier option of cutting me open his response was "I always ask myself what would I want done if it were me on that table". If you want an excellent surgeon that you can count on to do his very best on your behalf, Dr. Dort is your guy.

WENT FOR PRESURGICAL VISIT-HE WAS FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE TO THE PROBLEM.SETSURGERY FOR A MON.(AFTER THE WEEKEND). HAD AN EMERGENCY SURGERY. DR.CAME IN TO SEE PATIENT BEFORE IN THE E.R. AND CALMEDPATIENT. PERFORMED EXTREMELY LARGE HERNIA SURGERY AND ALLOWED FOR OVER NIGHT STAY ON AN OUT-PATIENT SURGERY.

This doctor had to go in and REPAIR damage done by another doctor. I found him to know just what needed to be done. I would recommend this doctor to anyone looking for a professional who knows what he is doing. His follow up care can't be beat.
