He really takes the time to build collaborative plan for recovery. He ensures that the patient is aware of what to expect, so there are no surprises. He is an amazing doctor, and never makes you feel rushed when asking questions.

Doctor Dougherty performed highly successful bone spur surgery on my big toe and joint in May 2019. Followup was excellent. BTW, Doctor Dougherty is NOT a psychologist, despite the earlier review.

Dr. Dougherty performed reconstructive ankle surgery on my ankle in May of 2016. Since the very moment I came out of the anesthesia, I knew something had gone wrong. The nerves in my foot are so damaged, that I am unable to tell whether my foot is freezing or burning. The peroneal nerve which runs down my big toe has been compromised so that it has been numb since I woke up from the procedure. The worst pain though, is the stabbing, sharp pain I get when dorsiflexing the foot. It is unbearable. Dougherty claims the pain is coming from my back, but 3 nerve tests indicate the pain stems from below the knee. I would much rather had lived with the pain I had before Dougherty operated on me. I have been through 4 medications, acupuncture, physical therapy, and even orthotics. Nothing helps. Stay away from this doctor.
