Dr. Sean Hachey, DO

My visit with Dr Sean Hachey was not a very good one. First of all this Dr is very cold , He never smiled once the whole time I was with him. He never seemed to be hopeful about anything I asked about. I has inquired about some testing for my lungs , only to have him say why they wont do any good. It seemed to me that he really didn't want to be there ,Or that I was a bother. Don't expect any compassion from this Doctor, he doesn't have any. He never once said anything positive about what I have been doing for my lungs. Oh he did give me one thing that I asked for a New inhaler. I had asked him if I was going to die from this disease , He just said well everybody dies . After my last appointment , in Sept. I am going to look for another pulmonologist who, is compassionate and caring. This Doctor has a horrible attitude And really needs to find a better profession to be in. Doctors need to offer some kind of hope and encouragement other that being dark and unfeeling , this… Doctor is a prime example of these two things. Find someone else to see who wont make you regret being there

I have COPD and have been seeing Dr. Hachey for a couple of years now. I have gone from using oxygen 24/7 to using it only during the night and then only because I feel that is when my oxygen level would decrease. Dr. Hachey was one of my very best finds. I feel he is the sole reason I can live as close to an active life as I do. He is thorough, compassionate and very personable. I am thankful I can count on him.

His lack of compassion was our overall complaint. He didn't listen and we felt he was making medical decisions without hearing what the patient needed/wanted.

Dr. Hachey seemed very friendly and personable. Took plenty of time taking a complete history and trying to understand my issue. It was a first visit, so I don't have any information yet on his diagnostic skills, and what type of follow-up care I will receive. He seemed very approachable and easy to talk to.
