Dr. Sean Samuel Howell, MD

I've seen a bunch of psychiatrists and doctors for ADHD in the past 20 years. Dr. Howell is probably the most personable and down-to-earth doc I've had, ever. He cares about your mental health and well-being and will work with you to find the best treatment plan and regimen. Reception lady Kathy is the sweetest woman in the world. I wish she was my grandma!

Dr. Howell seemed disengaged and bored throughout our year of sessions, using our time to chew his nails and review my basic biographical information instead of offering informed psychiatric solutions. (You shouldn’t have to ask which college I attend every single time — it’s in my file.) Dr. Howell also felt comfortable making racist comments to me, as we are both white. He joked about preferring to frequent white-majority establishments “where everybody there looks like [him].” His clear lack of empathy for humankind, both on an interpersonal and societal level, makes him an unfit practitioner by any standards.

he made me feel like he really understood me and told me about his problems instead of just making me talk he makes sure i see him more than two time a yeah not to get money but because he cares about me he tells me stories about his daughters and how he is trying to be a better dad for then

I've been seeing Dr.Howell for a couple of years now. He's very nice and listens to the situation I may have. I have no idea what the negative reviews are about. It's nice that he shares some things about himself. I do take medication and he's very easy to talk to about any situation you may have.

I've been seen by Dr Howell for about 5 years. He made an accurate initial diagnosis and has met with me regularly to maintain my mental health. He is available if I have issues and is always open to discussing the maintenance plan.

He appears tired all the time, glares and makes me uncomfortable, and makes terribly insensitive comments. He talks about very personal issues of his own that are off-putting for me to have to hear. I used to think he was oblivious but I left once I realized that he was intentionally provoking me. Also, he has a Playboy bunny tattoo on his ankle which could be easily covered up during office hours.

Cancel appointments a lot in the morning time. He cancel your appointment like 30 mins,before time,but he fines you $100.00 buck if you cancel the appointment less than 48 hours. ouch! If he runs late your appointments is cut short.
