Dr. Sean Duane Kalloo, MD

Dr. Sean Kalloo is an Associate Professor of Medicine (in Radiology) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and a leading expert in interventional nephrology and home dialysis. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and subsequently went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital. He then pursued fellowship training in nephrology at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, followed by an additional year of specialized training in hemodialysis vascular access procedures.Dr. Kalloo is the only interventional nephrologist at CUIMC and serves as the Director of Interventional Nephrology. His expertise extends to outpatient dialysis, where he previously directed home dialysis modalities and now serves as the Director of Outpatient Dialysis Operations.
