He is the best cancer surgeon in town. Websites like this have very little oversight, and a single upset patient can leave 50 negative reviews if adequately motivated. We have the same problem where I work with Yelp, google, etc. The difference is that I can respond to complaints without violating a patient's privacy, which can't be done here...

Dr. Langenfield performed a fissure surgery on me in 2014- He is a great great great Doctor! I was in so much pain, and he helped relieve that with surgery. He is the best!

Dr. Langenfeld performed colostomy surgery on me. It was well done and several professionals were pleased with how it looked.

I first saw Dr. Langenfeld in 2013 after being referred from Lincoln with a 3-6 month prognosis.After radiation, chemo and a 16 hour surgery, my prognosis is hopeful. Dr Langenfeld and Dr. Durden were both excellent in their treatment,surgery and follow up. I also feel I have his full attention and he really cares. He gave me hope! (His staff are top notch)

I've known Dr. Langenfeld for 4 years now, and I've been a nurse for almost 20 years. He has the best outcomes I've seen, and he has a wonderful bedside manner (for a surgeon). BUT, these sites do not prevent one person from leaving multiple negative (or positive) reviews, so ultimately these 30 patient ratings could boil down to one really happy patient, and one really upset patient who are invested in Dr. Langenfeld's prosperity or demise. The accuracy of reviews cannot be determined, and the better approach is probably to ask your PCP what he/she thinks.

Dr. Langenfeld is amazing. I went to him because my friend works in the OR at UNMC, and says he's the best they have. He used drawings and flowsheets to describe my condition and the treatment options, and it was the first time anybody actually explained things in a way my husband and I could understand.

I felt like he was too busy for me. Would have expected a surgeon to take time with me since he is cutting into my body. Would have liked some more heartfelt care, rather than just being another patient/client.
