Wrong info on me tried to treat me as a drug patient since I am a MS and seizure patients so just assumed I took all these pills for nothing and didn't take care of my real issue just wanted to see if I was taking street drugs and then when he found out I wasn't he tried to be nicer by that time I was ready to leave and was mad so I said I was fine and got the heck out of there!

I came to the ER after injuring my ankle and being advised by a family friend in the medical profession to get an MRI to check for torn tendons (a problem I had surgery on the same ankle a few years back). When I was met with the doctor, he seemed to think the only tendon in the ankle was the achilles tendon, and caused a severe amount of pain proving it wasn't torn (despite me telling him I knew it wasn't the tendon involved.) His solution was to get an x-ray (knew it wasn't broken, too), then released me on orders not to put weight on my ankle. He said he'd brace it and gave me a prescription for crutches. My request for an MRI (to examine the tendons) was met with the answer that 'hospitals do not perform MRI's. He then released me without ordering the splint on my ankle. I insisted the nurse check with him before she kicked me out of the room, and she came back with the equipment to splint my ankle... then walked right out the door, leaving me to hop/hobble through the ER and out… the door. I walked directly BY this doctor, and others, and he didn't so much as offer a wheelchair to my car. To make matters worse, my leg feels WORSE after he squeezed on the calf proving the achilles tendon wasn't injured. Basically, I went into the ER in less pain than when I left and with no answers whatsoever. The doctor didn't even provide me with a phone number for the orthopedic specialist I insisted he refer me to. Waste of time and money. I'll visit another ER in the future, to avoid this outcome repeating.
