I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself and my experience in healthcare. I am originally from Oswego, Illinois, and I earned my undergraduate degree in physiology at the University of Illinois in 1991. I continued my studies at the University of Illinois Medical School in Urbana-Champaign, obtaining my medical degree in 1995.

Following my graduation, I went on to pursue advanced training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as part of my internship at the Gunderson- Lutheran Medical Center and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin affiliated hospitals in Milwaukee.

As a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist, my practice is focused on interventional pain management, electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCV) and spasticity treatments. It is my mission to provide all my patients excellent service, as well as compassionate care. I always strive to provide you the same high quality of medical care that I would offer to a member of my family.

Dr. Mackenzie was rude, arrogant and his body language showed he was not interested in our concerns. A definite no for recommendations.

Dr. MacKenzie was very professional and courteous. He took the necessary time to go over my carpal tunnel test procedures and explain everything to me. When the test was completed he explained the results and my options. I would recommend him.

Tried to make an appointment with rockford orthopedic for severe back pain. There was a doctor I wanted to see but he had to review my symptoms and decided he didn't want to see me and sent me to Sean McKenzie. I told the scheduler I wanted to see a doctor not physical medicine doctor. She assured me he was a doctor. Went for the appointment and he did a lumbar series X-Ray instead of entire spine series, no other work up was needed and to start PT. Went to my family doctor who did entire back series prays and found abnormalities, doing MRI tomorrow. He advised me of no PT until we find the exact reason of the abnormal X-Ray results. What a waste of time.

I was a patient of his for a year or so. Was in horrible pain, had seen surgeon (same office) and then attempted to call him and review what surgeon advised and get his opinion but he would NOT take my phone call actually advised nurse to tell me he does not get paid to take phone calls, which shocked me because I followed every treatment he recommended...and then he told me the same thing when I did have my appt. the following day. When asked why his literature states he's available to his patients 24/7, he advised he didn't need to answer to me and then he refused to treat me anymore. I honestly felt betrayed and let down...you would think being in pain management he'd have a better bedside manner. I wouldn't recommend him to ANYONE! He turned into an arrogant jerk!

Will never see again! Been in horrible pain for long period of time, have seen twice in 8 days ($50 co-pay each time) plus an un-needed MRI. And still no treatment!! Have to wait "a couple days" to get everything set up with insurance. AWFUL!!
