Dr. Sean Forrest Mccloy, MD

Saved my life. Treated me well. I finally got an accurate diagnosis, multiple treatment options. I like that he teaches and educates. I have recommended him to many.

Dr. McCloy is not the caring doctor he pretends to be. He never returns a phone call. All calls are scheduled and charged for. He does not bill insurance and will not assist in sending info to insurance if insurance asks for more information. He will charge for any time he spends sending you your records. If you have a medical crisis, you may have to wait for months to get a follow up appt. He will not call you for any reason. He will email you only and he will be insincere and even rude and hurtful in the emails. He makes himself clear that his time is very precious and that he is doing you a great favor in returning your email. If you have a test done, you must wait for the results until your next appt., even if that is months later and you have a seriously abnormal lab or other test result. If you are upset about these policies, you will be berated and labeled with a psychiatric diagnosis. There is no room for disagreement with him. He acts in arrogant ways, and cannot… learn from you. He is very controlling about every aspect of his practice. He will not support your spiritual beliefs, and he is not holistic in any sense of the word. He believes in objective data only and will discount your own perceptions about what you know to be wrong with you. He will ridicule your beliefs and document in your chart that any 'non-scientific' souces of health information such as dreams or intuition is 'bizarre'. You will not find out how much he dislikes you unless you ask for your records. Then you will feel very betrayed that you entrusted him with so much personal information that he insists on gathering without earning your trust first. And you will wonder why you spent so much money upfront every visit. You will realize that he is extremely narcisistic.

Five yrs ago I came from TN to visit my best friend in Falmouth. During my trip I developed a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis which traveled to my heart and lungs (pulmonary embolism). I went to Maine Medical Center and Dr. Cloy was assigned as my doctor. I must say that Dr. Cloy took very good care of me. He always took time to listen and I know because of his great knowledge and common sense care I can say I am a survivor of what could have been a deadly situation. I am still doing great by following his expertise advice. Dr. McCloy I have never forgotten the great care you gave to me while I was visiting Maine. You help to save my life! I shall never forget you! Bless you and may you have many years in helping others.
