Dr. Sean Anthony Ponce, MD

Dr. pounce is one of the most caring doctors I have ever. He helped me for years. He listens. I wouldn’t be where I am now without him.

Met with Dr Ponce to go over some of my struggles I was having. After hearing the same old from him with little advice and waiting over an hour to see him he charged me 200 dollars. I was hoping he was willing to work with me as a patient but basically just referred me to the clinic he works at (Salt Lake Behavioral). This was little to no help. The reason for the one star is I had to pay 200 out of pocket as he said he doesn't except insurance. The other reason is I've been trying to collect medical records from our visit for over 2 weeks with no luck at all. Make sure to make the right decision and look into your options carefully. I'm glad I did not take his advice and go forward as I only see the situation becoming more frustrating. All my other doctors I've seen have realized the importance of helping a patient and getting easy things like medical records transferred. Horrible experience.

great doctor

I got the same treatment as the previous poster did. I have been seeing Dr. Ponce for a couple years, he had me on some very addictive medication, then he switched clinics and I cannot get in to see him. He left me high & dry to find another dr that can subscribe the medication I was on and that alone was he*#. Dr. Ponce does NOT care about his patients, it's all about numbers to him.

this doctor would make me wait hours to be seen, then would only spend five minutes with me. put me on various narcotic medications then discharged me after three years for missing an appointment (I can't tell you how many times these people canceled appointments on me, but i get the boot for missing an appointment). worthless quack, cares nothing about his patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Ponce for as long as I can remember. 7, or 8 years. I started seeing him when he worked at UNI. He is wonderful, amazing, honest and he literally saved my life. I went to many many doctors before found him. He is thoughtful and caring. I will admit he has changed a little since he has been working for Jordan....but he still cares. It is hard to get a appointment and the office staff is absolutely the rudest, belittling, inconsiderate people. They don't care at all about the patient, or about the reasons they call. Everything you ask them is like asking them to cut off their arm. They don't want to help you and don't care. From what I was told, Jordan hires them and not the doc......who knows. I have recommended family and friends to him and they all love him just not the staff. I don't see him for addiction, I see him for depression and he saved me. But I am now to the point where the staff has made it miserable and I have to find… someone else. I am not happy about it and don't want to, but the staff is so upsetting and stressful that it isn't worth it. It just makes my situation worse. I would love to see Dr. Prince again some day.......if he gets new staff.

Dr. Ponce is a great doctor. For those that say he is a drug dealer if your not honest with him he can't help. Addicts lie but a Dr. Can't make an addict better. The addict has to choose to get clean and be honest. That is the only way any Dr. can help them get better. I have seen Dr. Ponce for 4-5 years, and when I was honest with him he helped me change my life. That in turn made life better for my whole family. He has never prescribed anything for me that was addictive. Some of his staff haven't been the greatest to deal with but he is a good guy.

Dr. Pounce is the best doctor I have ever been to. God has blessed him with an amazing gift of counseling and knowledge. He is doing what God made him for. He is a pain management doctor and its obvious he wil get crazy drug addicts. I see him for my depression and anxiety and he understands me to the T. For those of you who have wrote bad comments about him have only been listening to the drug addicts that they are close to. Drug addicts are not to be trusted. I know I'm married to a recovering addict. If you have a problem with him I suggest you talk to him first before trashing his name on the internet. He is a modern medicine doctor if you don't believe in modern medicine , dont judge those who do. Just like I don't judge those who believe in all natural medicine.

I love Dr. Ponces office the staff is wonderful they always try to help the patients. He cares about his patients.

Front Desk Girl is Absolutely Degrading and Unprofessional. She needs training to learn how to treat customers. I have never been so offended or felt like it does not matter if I am in pain when I watch her squeeze other people In or let them wait for the doctor. Doctor Ponce is great and very compassionate and understanding. Lets me take charge like an adult and doesn't treat me like a nobody.
