Dr. Sean M Wahlquist, MD

Dr. Waglquist refused to see me because I am a self pay patient who is uninsured. I assured I could pay for anything as I have a health share but my job will not provide me with health insurance. His office managers refused to consider my case. This is discriminatory. I’m sure if a billionaire wanted to be seen and was self pay they would have seen them. This office is unprofessional and the physician who I heard great reviews about must not be in this for the patients but for the money even though either way he would be paid the same through self pay or insurance. I cannot reccomend this physician.

I needed a little help after I "tweaked" my "good" knee and I surely ended up back at a great practice. This actually was the second time I had used Folsom Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Guilfoy had successfully repaired my torn rotator cuff a number of years ago. Great care continues with the doctors and staff. My experience with Dr. Wahlquist was fantastic. He is a very patient guy who listens. So, you have a very competent Dr. with a delightful bedside manner. Almost as rare as Santa's reindeer. You won't regret engaging with this fine doctor.

Dr. Wahlquist performed my bi-lateral Achilles repair and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. From the start, he was very calm and caring about my condition. Dr. Wahlquist informed me of my options; weighing the pros and cons of of surgical and non-surgical care. After answering all my questions about the procedure, post-care, and recovery, I felt confident that Dr. Wahlquist would do a fantastic job as my surgeon. Right before the surgery I voiced my nervousness to Dr. Wahlquist. He smiled and said, "Being nervous is perfectly normal. How about you be nervous for both of us, and I'll be confident for both of us? We got this." It brought my comfort and peace before a difficult procedure. My surgery went well and I'm currently recovering. Dr. Wahlquist visited my room multiple times to check-in on my progress and how I was feeling. Genuinely the best hospital experience I've ever had; patient or not. If you're looking for a highly skilled, friendly, orthopedic surgeon who… will treat you correctly, Dr. Wahlquist is the right choice.
