Dr. Sebastian Zimmerman, MD

Dr. Zimmerman is the most professional clinician I have encountered thus far. It helps that he has a multicultural outlook, and this is immensely helpful if you come from the same region as he does. I was careful at first, however I'm now pleased to confirm after a handful of them that he is a great psychiatrist. He balances the psychotherapy dance gracefully without force, managing seriousness and light heartedness in one session. Humor is a nice way to dispel the difficult emotions that arise. He asks the right questions and makes valuable connections. It's nice that he takes notes during the sessions, and remembers important facts about your life. On my end, communication is key and I'm always clear about what I want to discuss in order to make the most out of each session. I think it's important psychiatrists know about both medication and psychotherapy and he is clearly very knowledgeable about both. I have positive expectations for the long term.
