Dr. Sebastiano Cassaro, MD

I'm a "seasoned," woman of color, two minutes from my pension check, with a medical history that includes more than three hernia repairs. The repairs were with and without mesh, and in the last case included "pig skin." I was a mess, when I met Dr. Cassaro, I looked seven months pregnant, and wanted to conduct the entire consultation in the dark, but Dr. Cassaro immediately put me at ease. We discussed the considerable complications some of which resulted from previous surgeries. We also discussed the need for a second surgeon, with an added specialty, and I found Dr. J. Meisner. Dr. Cassaro, on my first visit, came out of his office to greet me and I was seen within minutes. The two surgeons of course consulted, developed a plan of action, and to my good fortune were successful in the execution of that plan. I was especially grateful for the ease at which their collaboration came together, and to my delight, each used the words "nice fellow," to describe their initial… impressions of each other. I am more than satisfied and grateful with the results, and will instantly recommend Dr. Cassaro, to all who ask.

I can only compare Dr Cassaro to the numerous doctors I have met and consulted with over the past eight years from 2005 to 2013. Over these years I've spent approximately eight solid months in at least 5 different hospitals in the NYC area. I can honestly say that he has been the best doctor I've met. I understood in his approach to what needed to be done. His diagnosis was on target compare to previous diagnosis where I was told nothing could be done! He has repaired what was done prior and truly made a difference in my life. He is the only doctor I would go to and take recommendations from. I Highly recommend him.
