Dr. Seema Capoor, MD

First visit and very disappointed in my experience with this dr. She was very unprofessional and unwilling to answer questions and educate me about the condition and what to expect as it progresses. She was dismissive to my concerns and actually said ‘it was my imagination.’ She became rude and confrontational. I would not recommend ANYONE to subject themselves to such treatment, especially by someone who is supposed to be helping you. UK’s reputation for being the worst hospital in town makes so much more sense after this experience. I will drive to Louisville or Cincinnati, if necessary to be treated with respect and have my medical concerns acknowledged and addressed in a professional manner. I would recommend others do the same.

It has been years since my husband saw Dr. Capoor because the last time when she entered the exam room she very rudely said I thought I told you not to come back! Seeing as one of the doctors she is associated with told him to go back to her we did. She didn't care to charge us for that visit . I would never send anyone I know to her. I hope comments are seen by department heads. Wish I could give a negative star..

Yes the waiting time can run over but the way I look at is— that it’s worth the wait—when it comes to my eyesight I want the best. I would of waited double the time to have her as my ophthalmologist and triple the time for her doing the surgeries. Totally satisfied with Dr Capoor and yes she has a wonderful personality. I would highly recommend her

Wait time only thing that was awful. Came in for 10:30am apt around 1:00 when finally saw the dr

Dr. Capoor is friendly and very caring for the patients. She is very sharp and knowledgeable. I truly believe she is a great doctor!

Dr. Capoor did two cataract surgeries on my eyes, and I've had three follow ups. I appreciated her bedside manner, felt that she was compassionate, caring and she spent plenty of time with me. I am very pleased with my eyesight now, and if I have any other eye problems, would certainly use her as my doctor.

Diagnosed with a condition that would require surgery but was given a prescription for very expensive eye drops instead. When I called back to schedule surgery to have the growth removed I was told that there could be many complications. The doctor even went so far as to say that she "routinely" saw staff infections in her patients after eye surgery. That didn't make me feel very comfortable about going to her ever again!!!

Prescribed 200.00 meds that I couldn't afford so and 4.00 amoxicillin took care of in 10 days.No follow up ever given.
