I was a high risk patient of Dr Nayak. She was on top of my care from day 1 that I saw her, making sure I knew the risks and potential complications of my situation. Near the 7 month mark I started to experience several pregnancy related illnesses that needed extra care-Dr Nayak was with me every step of the way, reassuring me and keeping my baby and I under careful watch. Once we reached a safe time to deliver the baby (6 weeks premature) and my health was not improving, she delivered my daughter with ease. Dr Nayak was so gracious and genuine. I did not feel like I didn’t know what to expect or what was happening the entire time. I would recommend her to anyone who is seeking an OB-she will be straight forward and provide excellent care. Should I ever go through another pregnancy-she is who I will see again.

Dr. Nayak was my doctor throughout my first pregnancy and delivered my beautiful baby girl. I chose her because she is the only OB in town that will see you at every prenatal visit, ensuring continuity of care. She always had time to answer questions and concerns and took the time to fully explain her thinking. I found her clinical approach to be vigilant but not alarmist, so if something of concern came up during the pregnancy, I usually did not feel scared but instead glad my doctor was paying close attention. By the end of the pregnancy, my amniotic fluid levels were low and the decision to induce labor was on the table. It was not part of my birth plan but ultimately I felt comfortable doing it because Dr. Nayak took time to consult with UCSF and assure me that early delivery was the best thing for me and my baby, and took the time to get a 2nd opinion for us. And again, her approach was calm amd collected so I didnt feel overly anxious. Dr. Nayak is extremely dedicated and… respectful in my experience, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a personalized experience with obstetric care.
