Dr. Seema Bhargava Sood, MD

This was my first time visiting Dr.Sood. I readied some review and notice that you either like her or had a bad experience. I felt it was only fair to let you know my experience. The office looks a bit run down. (But that's not a problem for me. ) The staff at first seem distant but once I started to talk with them you could see that overall they are very nice, just Busy. Dr.Sood manner was one of concern & I liked that she took her time with me. (That's not to say she was wasting my time) She address all my concer & have already made my next 2 mos. return apt. I also recommended her to my daughter .

If you are looking for a doctor who is focused on YOU rather than herself and her wallet, do not go here. If you do go to see her, don't bother talking about you because she does NOT listen, she just pounds away on her keyboard. Also, you never know "which" Dr. Sood you'll be seeing- the rude suspicious assuming one, or the happy one. If you do get her on a good day, don't get used to it! And be prepared for her to ramble on about other patients, herself, her religious and political views, etc. What a nightmare.....

The assistant was rude to me on the phone when I made the appointment. The office smelled, is worn, and does not feel clean. Walls in the bathroom have paint spackle in different places. Waited1 1/2 hours to see her. I told her I had had a hysterectomy...she then proceeded to ask me when my last menstrual period was. She asked questions I answered, then a few minutes later asked the same questions. I could not wait to leave the office. Went to pay my co-pay and the assistant told me it would be $25. My co-pay is only $10. I told her, paid the $10 and left. Will not return and would not recommend.

Dr. Sood has awful bedside manners. She talks to you as though your working for her. She is rude because she doesn't have to answer to anyone because she works for herself but what she forgets is with out us (HER CUSTOMERS) she would be out of business. Wait time is horrible. I will NEVER go to her again.

The most horrible experience I have had with a medical professional. The wait was a minimum of two hours. The doctor did not target the cause of my underlying condition and prescribed a medication which was popular twenty years ago and did nothing for me. Moreover when I explained on the follow up visits that my symptoms are worsening, instead of improving, she implied that I am lying to her. Most humiliating experience ever. Thankfully, I saw another doctor who prescribed antibiotics and after five days I am already feeling better. Stay away from Dr. Sood.

I've been going to Dr. Sood for several years now, while I should have stopped long ago. 1) Getting an appt seems relatively easy, but the wait once you arrive for any appt is regularly over an hour, and I've been there up to 3 total hours more times than I care to count. 2) Dr. Sood seems nice most of the time, but her bedside manner can be atrocious. She looked at my EKG once and immediately threw out there, "Oh, it looks like you've had a heart attack." I had not, as further tests would show, and I'm lucky I didn't when she claimed that. She's also raised her voice at me and treated me like a child when I've expressed wanting a deeper look into my symptoms and condition. 3) 6 or 7 years ago, she referred me to a surgeon who nearly fatally injured me by making a bad mistake during the operation and then not wanting to follow up with tests when I came back the next day in severe pain (landed me a month in the hospital and several more months of recovery). Sood seemed to forget about… that, because a few months later, she casually said, "Oh, do you know someone died before of the same thing?" Yeah, it was the same surgeon, too. Why do you keep referring people there, knowing that?? 4) She's irresponsible with prescribing drugs that can interact with each other, and just wants to throw meds at symptoms rather than really help find and heal the underlying cause of the problem. 5) There has been a lot of turnover in her staff over the last couple of years. The newest person doesn't know how to accurately check your blood pressure (she got 120/80 for me twice, when the doctor later confirmed it was around 140/90), and when my sister went in for some recent bloodwork, the same assistant repeatedly stabbed around looking for veins until my sister refused further "help" and said she'd just go to Quest (and my sister's normally an easy stick). You may ask, "Why did you stay so long with Sood, then?" Well, I thought it was better to stay with someone who'd treated me over several years, but after everything that's happened, it's not worth sacrificing my health over.

Sent blood work to wrong Lab, which doesn't take my insurance, she did this twice. Despite repeated attempts to have them fix the billing issue, her office did nothing. I ended up paying over $500 out of pocket, despite having full medical coverage.

Dr. Sood is a lovely, kind, compassionate, caring medical professional. She understands the stress patients feel when they are ill or have a major medical condition. We love her!

The Receptionist is not a bit distracted and makes comments about Steinbergers. I think if the Dr. had a more friendlier receptionist that would help. The nurse is wonderful! So professional. Dr. Sood is also wonderful! Always professional and takes her time with the patient.The wait time can vary if you make a morning appt. you can be seen on time. If you have an afternoon appt. expect to wait. Most of the patients take naps and wait. Also, the front lobby area is a bit old and needs to be updated. That scarred me until I met the doctor and then I over looked the lobby. But the Front receptionist is a young girl and can be rude, possibly not knowing she comes off like that.

She should not be practicing medicine. As explaining that my symptoms have worsened even though her lab results say the opposite, she tells me that I am too negative for her and she is a cancer survivor and cannot handle all my negativity. She alienated and distanced me, making me feel worse. Maybe am negative but am sick and was looking for help!!
