This doctor never came to see me before I had my knee replacement surgery, I didn't get any pre-op sedative, and I was wide awake when they wheeled me into the OR. We waited for a while before this doctor arrived. Instead of talking to me and making sure I was okay, he immediately started trying to poke my spine to give me a block. I had this same block with my other knee replacement and I had no problems. This time the doctor poked my spine at least 7 or 9 times (I lost count after that) and I tasted the medicine 3 times and told him so but he ignored me. I was crying so hard from the pain of having him stab me that he finally asked me in a sneering way "Now are you ready to just go to sleep?" That is the only time he spoke to me other than to yell at me for jerking once when he hit a nerve. I would not even recommend this guy to put an animal to sleep. My surgeon was not in the room at the time, but he told me that the other professionals in the OR later told him how this "doctor"… treated me.

His thick accent and rather abrupt ways make this anesthesiologist one I don't highly recommend. Of course, he was able to quickly identify that regional anesthetic was a bad option in my particular case - and I'm still alive if that is worth anything.
