As someone who rarely leaves reviews I am compelled to write one for Dr. Rakipi as he is the best in his field. He displays great insight and analytical skills. He gets results. Not only is he adept in seeing your concerns, anxieties, traumatic experiences; but also, treats you with compassion and kindness. If you are suffering from depression, stress, phobias brought about by unpleasant events or anxious in any way , I recommend you make an appointment to see this very special, gifted therapist. Dr. Rakipi is an excellent psychologist and he acknowledges your difficulties in coping with issues and tragedies you have sustained due to a work accident. He does put you through testing to get a better.grasp of your condition He does not judge you and your anxiety, depression, fear of leaving home (resulting from my work injuries which totally altered my life from being an active, appearance conscious, extroverted human being who loved life to an invalid fearful of leaving home, isolating myself from friends and family, becoming totally dependent on my fiancee of twenty five plus years to becoming my caregiver). To make matters worse my insurance carrier has changed adjusters on me approximately 6 times in three years without notifying me, my doctors, or my attorney. As I had several surgeries and as some were not successful and due to my insurance carrier sending me for tests in a borough other than where I reside and due to being limited as to where my testing for my injuries… being limited to where the insurance carrier allows me to go as well as to whom can be my surgeon, my anxiety has increased. I am facing the very real possibility of paralysis thanks to my work accident. Ironically, the rest of my Health is excellent which makes my lack of mobility even more depressing and frustrating. Dr. Rakipi sees me and my psychological torment and my physical pain. He shows empathy without lacking professionalism. He helps you see the light at the end of the road when you are blocked by obstacle upon obstacle. It is difficult to keep telling friends you cannot get together when the true reason is your own mobility issues and your insurance carrier playing 'dirty tricks" to save money to keep you injured and frightened. He aids you in making your own choices and sees your strengths to build you up when you feel betrayed by the system and when your body needs surgery and you are fearful of having it or are blocked by your Worker's Comp carrier.
