Dr. Selena Yuk Yee Ng, DO

I came in because my physical condition had worsened to the point where I didn’t feel I could safely continue working. Dr. Ng referred me to a specialist, but the referral had a disconnected phone number. When I called the office to report it, they confirmed the number was disconnected and told me it would take up to 72 hours to correct. After waiting until Monday and receiving no update, I called again. I was then told they were still working on it and that the specialist they had referred me to was actually no longer in operation. Because of this, my evaluation was delayed. I requested the soonest available appointment with Dr. Ng to discuss my worsening condition and whether I could receive temporary work restrictions while waiting for the referral. I was told the referral was still processing and that I couldn’t even schedule the specialist appointment until the referral was completed. I was not given additional time off because I had not yet been evaluated by the specialist,… even though the referral delay was outside of my control. I left feeling stuck without a clear plan while my symptoms continued to worsen.

I would highly recommend not going to this doctor. It was very clear Dr. Ng was only interested in getting patients in and out and was not listening at all. In fact, I was explaining a medication that I was discovering worsening side effects and after I spoke, she said, would you like for me to order a refill of said prescription, immediately after informing her of worsening/scary side effects. It continued to get worse as I explained the serious health matters I was experiencing (dizziness, headaches, etc.) in response she asked a few very top-level questions i.e., do you smoke? Do you exercise? Last time you have been to the eye doctor? etc. I answered those and continued to tell her the extremes of my health concerns to which she said that I was the ‘model of health’. This is a little upsetting to hear when you are visiting the doctor because of serious matters. Again, it was clear Dr. Ng just wanted to turn over patients and had no invested interest in finding root cause into… serious health issues. It gets worse, after getting blood work done and a few basic tests, I requested a more in-depth test (MRI/SCAN) she denied the request. I explained to her I had severe pain in a very specific area of my back and I really think this would be for the best so that we could rule out anything very serious and continue on the path to finding relief. She continued to deny the test starting that she did not find it necessary (paraphrasing). Needless to say, I did not go back to Dr. Ng because of her careless attitude and poor listening/communication skills. Dr. Ng also missed a serious issue in my blood work – this could have easily been found with experience, patience, and care. I found another doctor that happily ordered the advanced test I requested/required. They found serious issues with my blood sugar levels causing dizziness and headaches. The results of the MRI/SCAN showed I have two bulging discs in the area of concern I had mentioned - the area Dr. Ng would not approve of for testing. So, I strongly recommend you save the time, money, pain, heartache and do not go and see Dr. Ng.

My appointments with Dr Selena has always been awesome, welcoming, compassionate, listens, thorough and direct to the point. She never rush me and most especially, she’s always very positive and treat me well as a patient and not just a number. She delivers quality care at all times. Sadly, I’ll be losing her as my primary care physician. Thank you for your care. Wonderful physical, Way to go!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Ng for several months and my experience started off great. After a few visits I started to noticed the cracks in the walls. The main nurse is extremely rude and has no compassion for people. She quickly snaps and talks down to you. Dr. Ng is friendly and I was so happy to find a female doctor but after a few visits it became VERY clear that she and her team only care about money. It takes weeks to get in to see her and god forbid you get sick or something else comes up between the time you book your appointment and the day of your appointment. They will flat out refuse to see you for anything other then what you originally booked your appointment for. I got an ear infection 2 days before my appointment. I thought that I could have this addressed with my other needs. Nope, they refused to see me for that and asked me to make another appointment or go to urgent care. What kind of doctor refuses to give service to a client? They do, because all they care about… is taking your money. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a doctor. Save yourself the time and find another doctor. They have no compassion or Christianity. They don’t care if you lost your job, are living on a tight income, they ONLY want your money. They won’t be getting another dime of my money. Please go ANYWHERE else.
