Born in the UK, Selma Rashid, M.D., completed her medical degree and training in Chicago, Illinois. Now an acknowledged global expert on hormone replacement therapy, she is the author of the book, Hormones Explained. Dr. Rashid is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and works as a Hospitalist. She is also the Medical Director of Anti-Aging Medical Group in the San Jose, Bay Area California.

From the beginning of Dr. Selma Rashid’s career, she has been particularly interested in true preventive medicine. While she enjoys taking care of patients in the acute care hospital setting, she derives the greatest satisfaction in restoring the health and functionality lost during menopause and andropause.
