I have a serious urologic condition that is possibly life threatening. I was introduced to Dr. Semyon Gurgov one year ago. I knew right away that I was in good hands. Competent, sympathetic, patient, friendly and respected by my other doctors are some of his qualities.

I am very glad that I chose Dr. Gurgov from the several names my primary care doctor recommended when I needed a urologist. He is low-key and very patient. I felt comfortable with him immediately. He listens, examines, analyzes the situation and explains thing in language I can understand...everything you would want in a doctor.

I switched to Dr G after 5 yrs of failed attempts with my previous Urologist to prevent more stones from forming. When I met Dr G, I was scared that I was in for more surgeries and no education. I was so wrong. He listened to me, and was very companionate towards me over my previous experience with treatment. It has been a long and frustrating 5 yrs. He gave me a 48hr urine collection test, and that has changed everything. I’m finally on track to prevention! He did a lithotripsy on my 10mm stone and no stent and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! Thank you Dr G. For listening to me, and helping me, and being so compassionate. Truly a blessing.

I have been seeing Dr. Gurgov for a few years now for a chronic kidney stone problem. Dr. Gurgov has always treated me as a friend and not just a patient. He is quite competent and has a great "bedside manner." I am lucky and happy to be his patient.

I have been a patient for several months. Dr. Gurgov diagnosed my condition very promptly, and actively scheduled surgery and follow up treatments to make sure I have the best opportunity to get better. I appreciate his expertise and very rapid response to the questions I have had. He is also a very nice person. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Gurgov and his staff at Mt Sinai Doctors of L.I. are top notch. In times of Covid-19 and the ever changing advice regarding quarantines, social distancing, etc., the doctor and staff provided the utmost compassion and care in navigating the new protocols for immediate needs and subsequent scheduling for visits and procedures. They kept me informed along the way. Dr. Gurgov explains everything very well and is patient with any questions or concerns I had before and after the procedure. I highly recommend him! Dr. Gurgov is a wonderful urologist. He listens, is easy to talk to, and has helps tremendously through his style of communication, evaluation and treatment. Dr. Gurgov is truly a "go to" urologist.

I have been with Dr. Gurgov for the past 2 years and have found him to be a patient listener and knowledgeable about my issues. He is easily reached by phone and he has called me many times with test results etc. I highly recommend him.
