Dr. Sepehr Mesdaghinia, MD

I couldn't have been more pleased with the service I received by Doctor Sep at Nova Arthritis. Check in was easy and the doctor spent quite a bit of time with and came up with a comprehensive action plan to help me back to a full recovery.

I have been to 3 or 4 different rheumatologists in the past 8 years. One changed due to my insurance, one didn't wish to take on my complex case, and the others were rude or dismissive. I had given up and was going to deal with Lupus and Sjogrens on my own. Until I couldn't... I studied many sites and reviews of doctors who took my insurance. After several weeks of reviewing and finally widdling the list down to 5, I started making calls. My first happened to be to Dr. Sep's office and after 5pm. (I wanted to see which office had the nicest answering system.) To my surprise, Dr. Sep answered the phone! He spoke with me for a bit, listened to my concerns, and encouraged me to make an appointment to see him. I called in the morning and was able to be seen that week! My first meeting with Dr. Sep lasted over an hour (remember, my case is quite complex). He was so kind and had lots of great questions. He started at the beginning and took care of the immediate needs. He explained so… much about Lupus that I didn't understand and was so positive throughout the entire appointment! I started on a medication and had a list of To-Do's before my next appointment in 4 weeks. The next appointment was the exact same but we moved on to the next phase and Dr. Sep again gave me a To-Do list before my next appointment. All of my appointments have been the same, he doesn't waver on his awesome care and he is always very positive and listens to all of my concerns! This is a lengthy review but I feel it's very important to provide it for those folks out there like me who have "white coat syndrome" from dealing with doctors who have made us feel crazy or less than a person. Thank you, Dr. Sep for your kindness, your willingness to listen, and treating me like I am important!

This is my first review of a doctor (and a very well-deserved review!) I recently saw Dr. Mesdaghinia and was beyond impressed. He certainly deserves more than five stars. The thouroughness and attention to detail sets this doctor apart from the rest. He is an expert in his field and really took the time to explain things to me and provide next steps. I can say with full confidence that if you need to see a rheumatologist Dr. Mesdaghinia is THE one to see. I have high standards and this guy surpassed them!
