Doctor listens to you, recommends solution to complicated health issues, easy to talk to. Staff pleasant. Highly recommend if your problems have not been solved by previous doctors.

She’s a young doctor, but you can tell she’s not into her work AT ALL. Very unsympathetic attitude off the bat, I thought it was just me but seeing other reviews it’s obvious she’s just like this. Was very short and acted superior to me and contradictory about my health problems that I was told how to manage from previous specialists. Very poor bedside manner, I felt not listened to or cared about. She struck me as “stuck up” and in it “for the money”. Doesn’t full scripts over the phone, no refills without another “visit”, which BTW she only does morning (before 11:45) appointments. What a joke! Her office receptionist was a completely rude lady and said “well I gave you options too bad YOU can’t come in at 9am” like no one has a job? Also she is booking out 3-4 months again only in the mornings. Unless you have no job and are not needing to get in before Christmas, I would NOT recommend!!!

Dr Mitroo lacks knowledge in handling rare diseases; complicated cases. While she will accept you as a patient her strategy is to ‘piecemeal your care out’ where the goal is to send you to multiple doctors so as to avoid the responsibility of any of your care. Upfront she requires you to sign a document giving her complete and total control of your ‘treatment’. For patients will rare illnesses, being sent to multiple doctors when no known treatment is possible, is not only futile but it becomes physically and mentally burdensome. Note if at any time during the course of seeing Dr. Mitroo or reporting back to her, you explain why her recommended plan of offloading your care to multiple doctors may in fact cause hardship- she drops you as a patient via a certified mailed letter, without any warnings. Note my treatment from her included zero prescriptions. I requested ‘palliative’ care only. This was the request that caused too much of a burden on Dr Mitroo. Dr Mitroo lacks ethics… because she does not give any indication during your appointments there are issues as you continue to confide in her and reveal personal, painful and private information about yourself and your children. But most of all she lacks compassion in that she fails to remember, ‘first do no harm’. Particularly when you are dropped as a patient during the COVID-19 pandemic with little ability to secure an alternative primary care physician and you suffer from a rare degenerative and disabling disease.

Dr. Mitroo is very warm and compassionate and treats me as if I truly matter. A lot of health care professionals treat the obese with disdain and disgust. Dr. Mitroo treats me as if I matter. She's a doctor's doctor.

Dr. Mitroo is a wonderful, caring doctor. Spending the necessary time to answer questions, she looks at the whole patient and thier needs to devise a plan for wellness.

She is very thorough and excellent with troubleshooting what is wrong. She also listens to the patient.

The other reviews talking about her being compassionate and listening, I just don't understand. I had to go to her every week for many weeks in a row for follow-up visits on an issue, and it was obvious by her surprise at hearing the same things over and over again that she hadn't listened to me the first, second, or third time I told her some fact about what was going on, or my medical history. It was like every time I showed up at the office I was some new patient. Also, she didn't do her research on my chronic illness. I kept having to educate her -- which isn't a bad thing necessarily, if I feel like I'm being believed, or if I don't have to tell her the same fact again on a follow up visit. I feel like she didn't take a very serious problem very seriously at all until scary lab results came in many weeks later, despite my saying up-front it was definitely serious based on my medical history. I can't recommend her.

I am 68 yrs old with debilitating back pain. I had an MRI done and DR Mitroo prescribed vicodin. When it was time to get a refill, I would wait several weeks AFTER MY REFILL WAS DUE to see if I could stand the pain without them and give my system a rest. Dr Mitroo would test my urine, which i assumed was to check for kidney infection. She had often checked my urine even before I began taking vicodin. Well to my surprise, i came in to my last appt, and the nurse wouldnt let me talk to her, and said because of negative UA's, I was more or less a criminal, or to that effect. I was shocked and confused and devastated.So i would not recommend this doctor at all simply because she doesn't keep thorough records, and does not communicate with the patient, and is therefore quick to jump to wrong conclusions. And the worst part is, I have gone to 3 doctors since then for other ailments, not even needing or asking for narcotics but they assume I'm there just as a drug seeker and all treat me… very rudely and wont even address my problem. They make me feel like I am a piece of scum and its all due to Dr Mitroo's mis-diagnose of me and what she must have put in my records for life. There is a terrible stigma surrounding narcotics, and justifiably so, but i am not a part of it.

Excellent Doctor, very thorough.

I have been seeing Dr. Mitroo now for about 1.5 years and I absolutely love her. She spends time listening to my concerns and the entire staff is amazing.
