Sergey Khaitov, MD

Dr.Khaitov performed sigmoidectomy surgery to correct a severe case of diverticulitis on Feb 8. He corrected my issues which included an access that was not detected initially. The surgery was a complete success. I healed quickly with no further developments. I am so grateful to Dr. Khaitov for all his concern and hard work.in correcting my medical issues. I am back to enjoying food again without worry about any consequences related to types of food that I eat.

He's very arrogant and cold. No call backs. Actually had to go to another surgeon and get the correct treatment. His assistant Barry is very rude as well. They belong with each other.

after not being able to control my ulcerative colitis for 4 years i had to go for full colectomy. i am glad my co-worker recommended dr khaitov. yes, like other reviewers say he is kind of abrupt. but he is very experienced, skilled, confident and calm. he is not much of a talker but very to the point and answers your questions fully. i highly recommend him.

Dr. Khaitov is a wonderful person, hands down. He has a professional, courteous bedside manor. He is very committed to his patients. I can speak from experience ( PROGNOSIS: ULCERATIVE COLITIS-18 surgeries, to date) Thanks to Dr. Khaitov- I am educated about my disease and I have regained my quality of life. I can confidently say I am in the hands of the best.

Dr. Sergey Khaitov is undoubtably the reason I can even sit here and type this review today. And it’s not just that hes a skilled doctor with mastery of his craft, it’s his bedside manner. Dr Khaitov was able to perform my total proctocolectomy flawlessly as well as manage to keep me calm and collected before I was sent into the OR. I would not recommend anyone before recommending Dr. Khaitov. Truly, the worlds greatest colo-rectal surgeon.

Dr.Khaitov is by far one of the best surgeons in NYC. He is caring and explains things in great manner. He did my surgery and was there on weekends to check in on me (not all surgeons do this, they usually send in a resident during the weekends). Words are not enough to describe how great of a surgeon and person Dr. Khaitov is. His office staff was also courteous and scheduling appointments wasn't a challenge.

Staff just to get information was so rude I did not even make a appointment.

I had an awful experience. I found him to be abrupt, rude, and extremely unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone to him. He was arrogant and full of himself.
