8 days requesting medication refills and all staff say is it’s been sent. But seem too bothered when asked to verify when and where was the script sent. No refills on Fridays so I guess it will be another week. Staff oblivious to patient withdrawals.

Dr Alvarado has given me injections on my back. Each one has worked almost immediately. He knows where to put the needle. Very professional. I Highly recommended Dr. Alvarado and staff. Thank you

I have serious knee issues from an old sport injury and being struck by a delivery truck however not ready for knee replacements. Dr Alvarado explained with detail every option to deal with my pain. I was very impressed. He took his time answering my questions. He has a great demeanor.

I was seen by a PA who l had never met before. The PA asked me some health related questions intermingled with small unrelated questions about how l spent New Years. After about 10 minutes it was over or so l thought. I left to get my next appointment at the front desk, when all of sudden I was called back to the exam room with the PA saying there were things not covered. The PA then asked me why had l taken Opana medication when it wasn't prescribed for me and that l had broken their contract. I tried to explain that l had notified the Dr. about the Opana and that it was the medication the he had previously prescribed to me and that he thanked me for telling him, but the PA said it didn't matter. The PA made me feel like l was a felon on probation who showed up dirty on a test. I have never been treated by a clinician or any other professional like l was treated in that clinic. I left angry after having words with the PA. As l was leaving l was called back to talk with the… Dr. but to me it seemed my explanation of the event didn't register with him. He tried to say that sometimes hard questions are necessary and l responded with saying there are ways to talk to people, to patients. He then questioned me about my results. The last test before this was showing that l had no Opana in my system even though l had been taking it for a month. Now if that doesn't raise a red flag about their test methods. The bottom line is The PA needs to be trained in people skills if they are going to continue to work there. Its too bad but it reflects on the Dr. and his clinic

Dr. Alvarado is good but some of his staff members are just too much to deal with, his nurse named Jac key will treat you like a trash. She can't comprehend to basic logical conversation and honestly one of the most ignorant nurses I have ever come across, if you get passed by her and see the doctor you might be okay. You can't count on his administrative staff though for any questions related to your medications or appoints.. I am very disappointed that care quality at his office has declined significantly over the years.

I have been seeing Dr. Alvarado for some time and his treatment has been good. BUT recently they have hired a PA to ease his schedule and the PA has been a poor substitute. A sense among the other clients i asked, and one I share also, is that your to be processed in the most expediamnte of manners and medications are dicated to you with no imput to treatment plans. So see Dr. Alverado if you can or if you dont care about your treatment see the PA.

I have been seeing Dr Alvarado for about 3 years. What impressed me most on my 1st and subsequent visits is that he really listens to your concerns and asks questions to make sure he understands what is going on. He doesn't just stick you on meds and forget about you. He has used a multiple disciplinary approach to help me manage the chronic, debilitating pain, which has included medications, injections and implanting a spinal cord stimulator. He has helped me to reduce my pain levels by about 80% and reduce my use of pain medication by about 70%. I am extremely happy with this outcome and will continue to see him indefinitely. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.
