Sergio Barrios

I had many choices when it came time to find a cardiologist. I have known this man a long time and I trust him implicitly. He is direct, and honest. He is hopeful, and won't give up on you. He believes in life, and making the most of it. Why would you want anyone else? His expertise and knowledge coupled with his empathy and constant optimism are exactly what a heart patient needs!!! I honestly can't imagine going to another doctor. Dr. Barrios is it for me.

A physician who will tell you like it is. Why? Because he cares. Dr. Barrios may be loud, he may tell you something you don't want to hear. But he does it for your own good, because he understands the importance of a healthy heart and taking care of yourself. He comes off rough around the edges, but he is a very compassionate physician who truly wants the best for the people under his care. When several other cardiologists no longer wanted to work on my father who had multiple stents and open bypass surgery by 2004, Dr. Barrios came in and took a chance. Because of Dr. Barrios' willingness to take chances, my father has lived for 12 years longer than the other cardiologists said he would, and continues to do well. Dr. Barrios is a medical cowboy, not shying away from a challenge. But he always will put patient safety above all.

I cannot say enough good about Dr. Barrios.

Dr. Barrios is very unprofessional. My Mother came to see him and he had to struggle to just keep a smile on his face. I watched how he treated his employees as well and it was terrible. He seems to hate what he does. The only positive thing I have to say is that the office staff is wonderful!

Very unprofessional staff and care.

My Father, diagnosed with COPD and heart failure, waited so long for his appointment with Dr. Barrios that he ran out of oxygen even though the travel tank was full when he and mom left the house. The appointment was a complete waste of time since there wasn't really anything the doctor could do for him. Three days later, Dad's went into the hospital. All the other nurses and doctors that saw him conceded that his heart and lungs were just too weak and deteriorated for any hope of recovery, and Dr. Barrios is still ordering tests and saying that there was hope. My Dad died a few hours later, leaving the impression of Dr. Barrios as completely incompetent.

Dr Barrios is the most caring, thorough and professional dr I have ever gone to. His staff is courteous and helpful. He goes the extra mile and his bedside manner is excellent. I hated to lose him when I moved away.

I WOULD NOT TRADE HIM FOR ANYTHING!! HE CARES FOR HIS PATIENTS. A GREAT DOCTOR.
