Dr. Sergio Teodoro Mejias, MD

Dr. Mejias seemed to make light of the fact that my 25 year old son was concerned about colon cancer. He obviously didn’t read my sons family history of colon cancer. He performed surgery on my son in 2013 to repair a fissure and remove internal hemorrhoids. He also did a colonoscopy. The surgery was a success. However, now a few years later my son has begun to have colon issues again. After making an appointment with a gastroenterologist and obtaining copies of my sons file and Dr Mejia’s notes, we read that there was inflammation detected during the procedure. We were never informed of this. My son should have been made aware of this. He could have had closer contact with the doctor. Perhaps, he could have had regularly scheduled appointments. Now he has been diagnosed with colitis.

Had an urgent hernia repair. Got right in for consult, procedure scheduled as soon as possible and went off without a hitch. Followup from doctor and his staff was just right. Highly recommend.

I felt Dr. Mejias was professional, caring, and accurate during my office visit for a consultation for my diseased gallbladder. My outpatient surgery went very well and my scars are tiny. Dr. Mejias and his nurse Becky were wonderful to me. I highly recommend him.

DR. Mejias saw me quickly and scheduled me in under a week for surgery. Had my surgery and everything went great. He is a very skilled surgeon and treated me very well. Even a few days out from surgery I feel much better.
